    摘要: A fuel injector includes first and second valves and a solenoid including a solenoid coil and an armature assembly wherein the first and second valves are coupled to the armature assembly. A solenoid drive circuit is coupled to the solenoid coil and delivers a first current waveform portion to the solenoid coil at a first time to cause the armature assembly to operate the first valve without operating the second valve. A second current waveform portion different than the first current waveform portion is applied to the solenoid coil at a second time later than the first time to operate the second valve.

    摘要: A fuel injector includes a valve member disposed at the upper end of the injector case adjacent a valve recess. The valve member includes a bore and a counterbore, and a tube having a bore is slidably disposed within the counterbore. The valve member bore and the tube bore define a fuel flow passage substantially coincident with the central axis of the injector. The valve member is spring biased to an open position to communicate fuel at transfer pump pressure to the valve recess. At the initiation of the injection cycle, an actuator, preferably an electrical solenoid, closes the valve against the spring force so that fuel is communicated along the central passage to a nozzle.

    摘要: A fluid filler tool for a spin-on fluid filter comprises a tubular housing having an annular peripheral wall, an open end and a closed end. The closed end has one or more openings to allow fluid to flow therethrough and into fluid inlet ports of the fluid filter. The closed end has centrally located venting means for allowing air inside the filter to escape therefrom when the fluid filler tool is positioned on the filter and when the filter is being filled with fluid. The closed end has centrally located tool positioning means for allowing the filler tool to sealingly and removably fit into a centrally located fluid exit port of the spin-on filter. The fluid filler tool allows the filter assembly to be pre-filled with a fluid only through the fluid inlet ports and prevents any fluid from entering the fluid exit port of the filter assembly.

    摘要: A belt damper for a gear train is provided. An endless belt is wrapped around pulleys mounted to an idler gear and an output gear. The pulleys are mounted to splined shafts which are axially aligned with and connected to splined gear shafts on which the idler and output gears are mounted. Pressurized lubricant is supplied to both splined connections. The combination of the lubricant in the spline connections and the damping effect of the belt provides for an effective damping system. A tension device may also be applied to vary tension imposed on the belt.

    摘要: A pump includes a pump housing having an impeller recess therein and a pump outlet and an impeller disposed in the impeller recess. First and second separate volute passages are disposed in the pump housing and are further disposed in fluid communication between the impeller recess and the pump outlet. Motive power and fluid are supplied to the impeller recess, thereby inducing fluid flow therein. The fluid flow is divided into the separate volute passages and the divided flow is recombined in a convergence passage before exiting the pump outlet.
