摘要: The present invention provides a beam splitter that comprising a body having at least one substantially flat surface. The surface has surface regions arranged to receive radiation at respective incidence angle ranges. At least some of the incidence angle ranges of the radiation received by the respective surface regions differ from one another and each surface region has a respective optical property such that the influence of the respective incident angle range on the wavelength range of reflected and/or transmitted radiation is reduced.

摘要: The present invention provides a solar absorptive material for a solar selective surface of an absorber of solar radiation. The solar absorptive material comprises a dispersed metallic material and a receiving the top surface boundary through which the solar radiation is received. Further, the solar absorptive material comprises a first region and a second region. The first region being located at a position closer to the receiving boundary than the second region and the first region has an average volume fraction of the dispersed metallic material that is larger than that of the second region.

摘要: A pulse width modulated solenoid control valve is described, wherein the valve includes a polymer fluid control body. The body includes a segmented fluid flow path for providing strength to the fluid control body assembly. Stand off ribs are provided to improve assembly into a control manifold. A casing forms an integral flux tube. A tapered push rod is used to reduce flux shorting.

摘要: A method for dynamically adapting a radio signal strength indicator (RSSI) threshold level of a subscriber radio in two-way radio communications includes determining pre-assigned subsystem site type (211) by a subscriber radio upon attempted registration with a subscriber radio subsystem site. The RSSI threshold level within the subscriber radio is then dynamically adjusted based on the subsystem site type. A predefined set of operational criteria is used by the subscriber radio to identify each subsystem site type and maintain predefined communication standards by either remaining within the subscriber radio subsystem site or being excluded from the subscriber radio subsystem site.

摘要: A fine-pitch acoustic transducer array that has a backing made of acoustically attenuative material. The backing material is prepared by homogeneously combining a matrix component and filler components having an average particle size less than one-fifth (preferably less than one-tenth) of the smallest dimension of the elements making up the array. In certain embodiments, the acoustically attenuative material comprises 25-45 wt. % tungsten particles, 15-35 wt. % silicone particles and 40-60 wt. % epoxy.

摘要: An ultrasonic transducer device comprising: an ultrasonic transducer array micromachined on a substrate; flexible electrical connections connected to the transducer array; and a body of acoustically attenuative material that supports the substrate and the flexible electrical connections. The acoustic backing material may contain additional features, such as tabs or notches, for use in positioning the transducer on fixtures during manufacturing or positioning the transducer within a housing during final assembly. Tabs or other features that are used only during manufacturing may be subsequently removed from the device. The MUT device itself may also be thinned so as to provide flexibility as desired. The backing material is preferably matched in acoustic impedance to the silicon wafer so as to prevent reflection at the interface of any acoustic energy propagating rearward, i.e., in the direction away from the device front surface. The backing material may also possess a high thermal conductivity to assist in removal of heat from the device.
