Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for mounting a filtration housing for solid filtration media. One aspect of the invention comprises a method for mounting an air circulation component to an air circulation system, wherein the air circulation component comprises a center of gravity. The method includes providing a notch associated with an air circulation component, wherein the notch comprises a contact surface; providing a guide associated with the air circulation system, wherein the guide comprises a load bearing surface; and positioning the air circulation component with respect to the air circulation system such that a portion of the contact surface is adjacent to a portion of the load bearing surface, wherein the adjacent surfaces comprise a contact angle that is substantially coplanar with a center of gravity of the air circulation component, and wherein a portion of the weight of the air circulation component transferred between the surfaces causes a sealing pressure against a portion of the air circulation system.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic anti-tipping device uses electromagnets to steady users and prevent falls by persons with impaired mobility and balance. The device's steadying effect is accomplished by magnetically attracting the legs and/or wheels of balance and mobility assisting apparatus (“balance and mobility aid(s)”) to a stationary surface such as a floor which is made of or covered with a magnetically responsive material. In one embodiment, the device's electromagnet attraction to the floor or other stationary surface is actuated when the operator of the device triggers the device's mechanism or sensor by grip or touch. Once actuated, and until deactivation by the user, the device's electromagnet(s) secure the legs or wheels of the balance and mobility aid to the magnetically responsive floor or other stationary surface. The electromagnets are battery-powered.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a grading device adapted for easy and quick connection to a pulling machine, such as a tractor or dozer, utilizing two points of attachment provided by the pulling machine. The grading device has two main blades, each with an extendable blade to increase the contouring range. Each main blade is separated by an intermediate pivoting member, which enables independent movement of each blade. Accordingly, the device can crown or v-notch a loose surface in a single pass. Additionally, a remotely located joystick assembly enables control of the blades from an ergonomic position on the pulling machine.
Abstract:
A hole saw for cutting holes in wooden doors is described. The device includes a spring loaded base member which when actuated expels the unwanted waste material from the saw.

Abstract:
A method for displaying an image which can include a text or graphic message on a display driven by an electronic device that includes a graphical user interface, including the steps of storing the image at an electronic device, displaying the image in relation to a cursor icon of the graphical user interface (GUI), and moving the image as the cursor icon moves in response to user commanded movement of the cursor icon so that the image stays in relation to the cursor icon. A system and method for facilitating interactive communication between a cursor icon on a display screen of an electronic device and an image transmitted to the electronic device by an application program. A system and method that receives and manages notification alerts containing notification data from a variety of resources, and generates and distributes interactive notifications to a variety of recipients.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a wall for a package, which wall comprises, or includes a layer comprising, a composition comprising a polymer and capable of scavenging oxygen through the metal-catalysed oxidation of an oxidisable organic component thereof. The oxidisable organic component is preferably itself a polymer, and may be the only polymer in the composition. Preferred compositions include a blend of 96% polyethylene terephthalate and 4% poly (m-xylyleneadipamide) containing 200 ppm cobalt as catalyst, with good permeance-versus-time performance (3) when formed into a bottle.
