摘要: A device is provided for use with a tissue penetrating system and/or a metering device for measuring analyte levels. The device comprises a cartridge and a plurality of analyte detecting members mounted on the cartridge. The cartridge may have a radial disc shape. The cartridge may also be sized to fit within the metering device. The analyte detecting members may be optical system using fluorescence lifetime to determine analyte levels. In one embodiment, the device may also include a fluid spreader positioned over at least a portion of the analyte detecting member to urge fluid toward one of the detecting members. A plurality of analyte detecting members may be used. Each analyte detecting member may be a low volume device.

摘要: A body fluid sampling system is provided for use on a tissue site. A drive force generator is coupled to penetrating members. The penetrating members are at least partially housed in a penetrating member housing. The penetrating member housing has openings for the penetrating members. The penetrating members are launched along a launch path by the drive force generator through an opening in the penetrating member housing. Analyte sensors are housed in a analyte sensor housing. Each analyte sensor is associated with a penetrating member. The analyte sensor housing and the penetrating member housing are coupled to provide that each analyte sensor is positioned out of a launch path of a penetrating member. The analyte sensor housing includes desiccant pockets for receiving desiccant plugs.

摘要: A lancet driver is provided wherein the driver exerts a driving force on a lancet during a lancing cycle and is used on a tissue site. The driver comprises of a drive force generator for advancing the lancet and a processor coupled to the drive force generator capable of changing the direction and magnitude of force exerted on the lancet during the lancing cycle. The driver further includes a human interface on the housing providing at least one output for communicating with the patient.

摘要: A device is provided for fluid delivery. The device comprises a cartridge having a plurality of cavities and a plurality of penetrating members. The plurality of penetrating members are each at least partially contained in cavities of the cartridge wherein the penetrating members are slidably movable to extend outward from openings on said cartridge to penetrate tissue. Each of the penetrating members comprises a needle with a lumen coupled to a canister containing a material to be injected.

摘要: These and other objects of the present invention are achieved in a body fluid sampling system for use on a tissue site that includes an electrically powered drive force generator. A penetrating member is operatively coupled to the force generator. The force generator moves the member along a path out of a housing having a penetrating member exit, into the tissue site, stops in the tissue site, and withdraws out of the tissue site. A cartridge houses the penetrating member. The cartridge has first and second seals coupled to the penetrating member to maintain a sterile environment around a portion of the penetration member prior to penetrating member actuation. A user interface is configured to relay at least one of, penetrating member performance or a penetrating member setting.

摘要: An agent injection device is provided that is capable of injecting an agent to a known predetermined tissue depth. An injection member has an elongate injection shaft with an outlet port configured to dispense an agent at a controllable time. A controllable driver is coupled to the elongate injection shaft and is configured to drive the injection member into target tissue. A velocity control system is in communication with the controllable driver and is configured to control the velocity of the elongate injection shaft.

摘要: These and other objects of the present invention are achieved in a body fluid sampling system for use on a tissue site that includes an electrically powered drive force generator. A penetrating member is operatively coupled to the force generator. The force generator moves the member along a path out of a housing having a penetrating member exit, into the tissue site, stops in the tissue site, and withdraws out of the tissue site. An analyte detecting member is positioned to receive fluid from a wound created by the penetrating member. The detection member is configured to determine a concentration of an analyte in the fluid using a sample of less than 1 μL of the fluid.

摘要: A tissue penetrating system includes a plurality of penetrating members each having a tip. A penetrating member driver is coupled to the plurality of penetrating members. A support is provided with a plurality of openings. Each opening receives a penetrating member. Each tip of a penetrating member is uncovered during launch of a penetrating member by the penetrating driver member. A user interface is configured to relay at least one of, skin penetrating performance or a skin penetrating setting.
