    摘要: An inkjet printing fluid composition including water and a water dispersible polyurethane additive of the general formula of (I) wherein Z is the central portion of a monomer unit that is the polymerization product of a diisocyanate; X1—Y1—X1 represents one or more soft segments wherein Y1 represents the central portion of a unit that is the polymerization product of a diamine or diol prepolymer having a molecular weight of greater than 300 Daltons; W is the central portion of one or more units containing an acid group; X2—Y2—X2 represents one or more hard segments wherein Y2 represents the central portion of a unit that is the polymerization product of a C2-C8 diol or diamine having a molecular weight of less than 250 Daltons; and X1, V and X2 can be the same or different and are an —O— or —N— atom; and further wherein the polyurethane additive has a weight average molecular weight of at least 6,000 Daltons and a sufficient number of acid groups to provide an acid number greater than 35, and the one or more X2—Y2—X2 hard segments are present at from 1 wt % to less than 13 wt % of the polyurethane additive. Also disclosed is a method for printing an inkjet image including I) providing an inkjet printing fluid according to the invention; and II) jetting the inkjet printing fluid in the form of ink drops onto a recording element to form a printed image.

    摘要: A method for forming lenslets which collect light and focus the light onto photosensitive elements of an electronic imager. The method includes providing a transparent lenslet-forming layer on a substrate or on layers on the substrate, forming a thin etch-stop layer on the transparent lenslet-forming layer and patterning a thin photosensitive resin mask on the etch-stop layer so that the mask pattern corresponds to lenslets to be formed. The method further includes transferring by etching the pattern of the photosensitive resin mask to the thin etch-stop layer to form a thin etch-stop mask, anisotropically plasma etching the transparent lenslet-forming layer according to the patterned thin etch-stop mask, removing the thin etch-stop mask, and thermally reflowing the etched transparent lenslet-forming layer to form the lenslets.

    摘要: An optical article is disclosed comprised of an organic layer unit exhibiting a second order polarization susceptibility greater than 10.sup.-9 esu and means for providing an optical input to and an optical output from the layer unit. The organic layer unit exhibits a transmission attenuation of less than 2 dB/cm and is comprised of a Y type Langmuir-Blodgett assembly having superimposed oriented monomolecular layers of first and second polymeric amphiphiles each containing repeating units comprised of a hydrophilic moiety and a lipophilic moiety. Repeating units of one or both of the first and second amphiphiles each contain an organic molecular dipole, and repeating units of one or both of the first and second amphiphiles each contains a branched lipophilic moiety of up to 9 carbon atoms.
