摘要: A portable multi-channel device for optically testing of a liquid sample includes a controller; and a sample holder with a cylindrical sample compartment and at least two optical channels respectively for measuring turbidity of the sample liquid and for measuring one other optical property of the sample liquid. Each of the optical channels including: a light source placed at one end of the channel, a main detector placed across the sample compartment from the light source, a reference detector for measuring an intensity of light emitted by the light source, and an excitation focusing optic for directing a light emitted by the light source through the sample compartment towards the main detector. Signals from the reference detector of the channel, the main detector of the channel, and another main detector of another channel perpendicular to the channel are processed by the controller to evaluate the turbidity of the liquid sample.

摘要: A use composition monitor determines the concentration of peracid and/or peroxide in a use composition using a kinetic assay procedure. A sample mixture containing a sample of the use composition, a diluent and at least one reagent is prepared and analyzed using, for example, an optical detector. A temperature stabilized optical cell is disclosed which enhance consistency of response data obtained from the optical detector, especially when the use composition monitor is utilized on site.

摘要: A turbidity measuring system is provided with a chamber and a sensor having a watertight housing, a light source, a first light focusing device for focusing a light emitted from the light source and passing therethough into a sample liquid, a second light focusing device for collecting at least one scattered light resulted form the focused light when passing the sample liquid, a photodiode for receiving the collected light thereby generating electronic signals, and an electronic board for processing the electronic signals. In particular, the watertight housing has a tilted bottom, the light detector includes at least two photodiodes for detecting separated turbidity measuring ranges, or an insert is placed at the bottom of the chamber having first and second insert channels each of whose axis pointing toward an axis of one of the cylindrically-shaped channels in the watertight housing in order to trap light.

摘要: An ultraviolet (UV) fluorometric sensor measures a chemical concentration in a sample based on the measured fluorescence of the sample. The sensor includes a controller, at least one UV light source, and at least one UV detector. The sensor emits UV light in a wavelength range of 245-265 nm from the light source through the sample in an analytical area. The UV detector measures the fluorescence emission from the sample. The controller transforms output signals from the UV detector into fluorescence values or optical densities for one or more wavelengths in the wavelength range of 265-340 nm. The controller calculates the chemical concentration of the chemical in the sample based on the measured fluorescence emissions.

摘要: A multichannel fluorosensor includes an optical module and an electronic module combined in a watertight housing with an underwater connector. The fluorosensor has an integral calibrator for periodical sensitivity validation of the fluorosensor. The optical module has one or several excitation channels and one or several emission channels that use a mutual focusing system. To increase efficiency, the excitation and emission channels each have a micro-collimator made with one or more ball lenses. Each excitation channel has a light emitting diode and an optical filter. Each emission channel has a photodiode with a preamplifier and an optical filter. The electronic module connects directly to the optical module and includes a lock-in amplifier, a power supply and a controller with an A/D converter and a connector. The calibrator provides a response proportional to the excitation intensity, and matches with spectral parameter of fluorescence for the analyzed fluorescent substance.

摘要: An H-bridge control circuit comprises an input stage, comparator stage, inverter stage. The operation of the H-bridge can be controlled by a single analog input signal provided by a feedback stage. Shoot-through protection is provided for the H-bridge circuit through the inclusion of a dead gap determined by inputs to the comparator stage. The dead gap can be adjusted, allowing for adjustment of the precision operation of the load. The H-bridge can be used to drive a bi-directional load such as, for example, a Peltier conditioner.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide devices and methods for measuring fluid volume. Devices according to some embodiments include a chamber, having a pair of gears rotatably mounted therewithin. Fluid flow through the chamber causes rotation of the gears, such that each rotation and/or partial rotation results in a known volume of the fluid passing through the chamber. An optical sensor positioned outside of the chamber, can view the rotating gears through a substantially transparent chamber wall. The optical sensor can view an optical characteristic of one or both of the gears, and based upon this data, fluid volume, flow rate, and/or flow direction can be determined. Devices and methods disclosed herein can provide for improved precision in fluid flow meter measurement. In addition, the devices and methods used herein can be more durable and easier to fabricate than previously known positive displacement flow meters.
