摘要： A multipart computer housing is described. The multipart computer housing includes at least a structural support layer and a body. The body includes at least an outer layer formed of lightweight flexible material and an inner layer attached to the outer layer. The inner layer is connected to the support layer forming a load path between the inner layer and the structural support layer. A load applied to the multipart computer housing is transferred by way of the load path to the support layer without substantially affecting the outer layer.

In one embodiment, a microphone opening is disposed on a side of the personal computing device and configured to be substantially perpendicular to a user. In another embodiment, a second microphone opening is disposed co-planar to the first microphone opening and positioned a predetermined distance apart. In another embodiment, one or more microphone openings can be disposed in a keyboard area and substantially between left and right sides of the portable computing device. In yet another embodiment, one or more microphone openings can be disposed underneath keycaps of the portable computing device.

摘要： A packaging system is configured to package a product to form a packaged product assembly. The packaging system includes a lid including a major panel, side panels, and a tab extending from one of the side panels. The packaging system also includes a box hingedly coupled to the lid that includes side walls and a bottom wall with a slot defined therein. The product may be retained by the lid against the major panel by first and second end flaps. As the lid and box are folded toward one another, the product may be loaded into the box and the tab and an adhesive member coupled thereto may extend through the slot in the bottom wall of the box. The adhesive member may then be adhered to a back surface of the box to retain the product in the packaging system. Related methods are also provided.

摘要： Magnetic elements and attractors may be employed to secure a top case and a bottom case of a housing of a personal computing device. The magnetic elements may include a magnet that produces a magnetic field and a shunt. The shunt may direct the magnetic field through an opening to a pocket in which the magnet is received. Accordingly, flux leakage may be reduced and the bottom case may be secured to the top case. Magnetic elements and attractors may also be employed to secure a lid portion of the portable computing device to the housing thereof. These magnetic elements and attractors may be centered with respect to proximal and distal edges thereof.
