    摘要: This invention relates to an optical transmitter, receiver or transceiver module, and more particularly, to an apparatus for connecting a first optical connector to a second optical connector. The apparatus comprises: (1) a housing having at least a first end and at least a second end, the first end of the housing capable of receiving the first optical connector, and the second end of the housing capable of receiving the second optical connector; (2) a longitudinal cavity extending from the first end of the housing to the second end of the housing; and (3) an electromagnetic shield comprising at least a portion of the housing. This invention also relates to an apparatus for housing a flexible printed circuit board, and this apparatus comprises: (1) a mounting structure having at least a first surface and a second surface; (2) alignment ridges along the first and second surfaces of the mounting structure, the alignment ridges functioning to align and secure a flexible printed circuit board that is wrapped around and attached to the first and second surfaces of the mounting structure; and (3) a series of heat sink ridges adapted to the mounting structure, the heat sink ridges functioning to dissipate heat that is generated from the flexible printed circuit board.

    摘要: A new and distinct variety of apple was identified from a population of seedlings derived from a controlled cross of ‘Honeycrisp’ and ‘Co-op 31.’ The new variety, named ‘MAIA-SM’ ripens in late August. ‘MAIA-SM’ has distinctly different skin color than its parent varieties in lenticel appearance and ground color. ‘MAIA-SM’ has consistent annual cropping with minimal horticultural inputs and achieves a full sweet flavor earlier than most apple varieties. ‘MAIA-SM’ is the apple most preferred by consumers in a blind taste test during the apple harvest window before ‘Honeycrisp.’

    摘要: A fluid filtration assembly for a dishwasher system includes at least one spray arm assembly configured to distribute fluid within a wash chamber, and a filter assembly including a filter body defining a fluid inlet and a soil outlet thereon. A soil collection chamber is coupled in flow communication with the soil outlet and is configured to receive soil filtered by the filter assembly. A pump is configured to direct fluid to one of the spray arm assembly and the soil collection chamber. A valve assembly is movable between a first position and a second position.     摘要: Switchable power combining is provided using a tunable arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) as the combining element. The AWG has two or more inputs and two or more outputs. Each AWG input is bi-directionally coupled to a corresponding laser source, and each laser source has substantially the same gain spectrum. All sources are coupled to a selected one of the AWG outputs, without substantial coupling of the sources to any other AWG output. The AWG is tunable, such that any one of its outputs can be thus selected. The selected output provides optical feedback, thereby feedback stabilizing the emission wavelengths of the sources to values suitable for single-mode combining. According to a further aspect of the invention, a piezo-electrically tunable AWG is provided. The AWG has a piezo-electric transducer bonded to the waveguide array section of the AWG. Strain induced in the waveguide array by the transducer can alter optical path lengths of the waveguide, thereby tuning the AWG.

The via insulating layer may separate the conductive core in each via from the bottom electrode, wherein the insulating layer may be formed by a variety of techniques such as but not limited to aerosol coating of the via.
