Abstract:
Methods for providing a highly assisted driving (HAD) service include: (a) transmitting telematics sensor data from a vehicle to a remote first server; (b) transmitting at least a portion of the telematics sensor data from the remote first server to a remote second server, wherein the remote second server is configured to execute a HAD application using received telematics sensor data, and wherein the HAD application is configured to output a HAD service result; and (c) transmitting the HAD service result from the remote second server to a client. Apparatuses for providing a HAD service are described.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for object identification and location correlation based on received images. A method is provided including receiving identity data associated with an object derived from one or more of a plurality of images determining an identity of an object in one or more of the plurality of images, receiving location information associated with a camera which captured the plurality of images, and correlating the identified object with a location for each of the respective images of the plurality of images.
Abstract:
Methods for differentiating high quality probe reports in a plurality of probe reports include: (a) receiving, by a processor, a probe report from a probe source, wherein the probe report includes data indicative of a travel condition; (b) determining, by the processor, whether the probe report satisfies a criterion indicative of high quality data; and (c) identifying, by the processor, the probe report as being (i) suitable for use in modeling the travel condition if the probe report satisfies the criterion, or (ii) unsuitable for use in modeling the travel condition if the probe report does not satisfy the criterion. Systems for differentiating high quality probe reports in a plurality of probe reports are described.
Abstract:
Methods for personalized driving of autonomously driven vehicles include: (a) downloading at least a portion of a driving profile to a vehicle, wherein the vehicle is configured for autonomous driving and wherein the driving profile is associated with a specific driver; and (b) executing one or a plurality of operating instructions prescribed by the driving profile, such that the vehicle is operable in a driving style imitative of the specific driver. Apparatuses for personalized driving of autonomously driven vehicles are described.

Abstract:
Methods for providing a lane-level road view include: (a) accessing lane-specific data comprising information characterizing a first segment of a first lane of a road in a direction of travel; and (b) communicating at least a portion of the lane-specific data to a client. Apparatuses for providing lane-level road views are described.

Abstract:
An approach is provided for prioritizing notification to one or more vehicles based on the ranking of one or more road links. The approach involves determining one or more road links that are associated with at least one curvature value greater than at least one curvature threshold value. The approach also involves determining humanized speed information and speed limit information for the one or more road links. The approach further involves processing and/or facilitating a processing of the at least one curvature value, the humanized speed information, and the speed limit information to determine danger level information for the one or more road links. The approach also involves causing, at least in part, a ranking of the one or more road links based, at least in part, on the danger level information. The approach further involves causing, at least in part, a prioritization of one or more notifications to one or more vehicles approaching or traveling the one or more road links based, at least in part, on the ranking of the one or more road links.
