One method includes capturing, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, a number of visual images of an industrial plant, capturing, using the unmanned aerial vehicle, a number of infrared images of the industrial plant, and forming a three-dimensional model of the industrial plant by combining the number of visual images and the number of infrared images.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for analyzing a network topology are described herein. For example, one or more embodiments include receiving data from a node in a node array with a locating device, determining a position of the locating device, determining a position of the node in relation to the locating device based on the data received from the node and the position of the locating device, comparing the position of the node to a defined layout of the node array, and determining whether the position of the node matches a defined position in the defined layout of the node array.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for analyzing a network topology are described herein. For example, one or more embodiments include receiving data from a node in a network of nodes with a wearable network topology analyzer, determining, with the wearable network topology analyzer, a coverage associated with the node in the network of nodes based on the received data, and determining whether to perform an operation to adjust the coverage associated with the node in the network of nodes, based on the determined coverage.
Abstract:
Devices, methods, and systems for navigating an indoor area such as an indoor transit system using a mobile device are described herein. The method may include navigating a network of indoor pathways and a plurality of access points for entering/exiting the indoor pathways. The indoor pathways may be mapped and may include a plurality of beacons distributed at designated locations throughout the indoor pathways. The beacons may be detected using a mobile computing device and an indoor location of the mobile computing device may be determined and depicted on the map of the indoor pathways. The location of the mobile computing device may be used to determine a route from the location of the mobile computing device to a destination in or adjacent the mapped indoor pathways.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for indoor wayfinding to equipment and infrastructure at a facility are described herein. One method includes receiving an identifier associated with a piece of equipment or infrastructure within a facility, receiving location information associated with the location of the piece of equipment or infrastructure within the facility, receiving visual view data to produce a visual view of an area of the facility, and merging the identifier, the location information, and the visual view data to produce a visual view on a user interface of a computing device to communicate the location of the piece of equipment or infrastructure to a user of the computing device.
Abstract:
Integrating functionality in a line powered device of a facility is described herein. One method includes integrating, in a line powered device of a facility that has a first functionality, a second functionality, obtaining, by the line powered device, information associated with the facility using the second functionality, and sending, by the line powered device, the information associated with the facility obtained using the second functionality to a computing device.
Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods for magnetic fingerprinting for proximity-based systems are described herein. One device includes instructions stored thereon executable by a processor to receive location information associated with a mobile device in a facility, determine that the mobile device is within a particular distance of an area of the facility based on the location information, determine magnetic field information associated with the mobile device, and allow access to the area via a relay associated with the area responsive to a determination that the user is allowed access based on the magnetic field information.
Abstract:
Wireless network site survey systems and methods are described herein. One system includes a plurality of wireless nodes placed at a number of locations and a computing device configured to: receive communication metrics, wherein the communication metrics include metrics of communication between the plurality of wireless nodes and between the computing device and each of the plurality of wireless nodes, and generate a node coverage map based on the received communication metrics.
Abstract:
A building control system includes a central coordinator and one or more discrete air conditioner controllers configured to communicate with one or more discrete air conditioner units servicing the building. In some instances, a discrete air conditioner controller may be configured to transition between a sleep mode and an active mode. The discrete air conditioner controller may also be configured to transmit over a mesh network in the active mode and to not transmit over the mesh network in the sleep mode. The discrete air conditioner controller may be configured to transition between the sleep mode and the active mode according to a schedule dictated by the central coordinator. Alternatively, or in addition, the discrete air conditioner controller may be configured to transition between the sleep and active modes in accordance with a beacon signal received from the central coordinator.
