    摘要: A waste toner collecting system in an image forming apparatus which forms on the surface of an image carrier an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an original image, develops the latent image with toner and transferrs the toner image onto a copy material. The waste toner collecting system comprises a cleaning unit for removing residual toner from the image carrier after the toner image has been transferred, a container, independent of the cleaning unit, for storing the removed waste toner, and a transport device for conveying the waste toner removed by the cleaning unit to the container, with an outlet formed in the toner transport device so as to discharge the waste toner, a waste toner inlet formed in the container at a position corresponding to the outlet in the toner transport device, and shutter members provided for the outlet and the inlet, respectively, the shutter members being opened or closed according to as the waste toner container is mounted or dismounted.

    摘要: A drive circuit of a liquid crystal display device performs line inversion drive based on a correction video signal V. A look-up table (12) includes two types of tables having stored therein correction values for use in overshoot drive. Based on a current-frame video signal X, a previous-frame video signal Y stored in a frame memory (11), and a polarity-reversing signal REV, a correction process portion (13) reads a correction value from the look-up table (12), and outputs the correction value being read as the correction video signal V. In such a manner, a correcting circuit (10) is used to control the degree of overshoot in accordance with the polarity-reversing signal REV. Thus, it is possible to suitably control the change in pixel brightness regardless of the polarity of the applied voltage, thereby preventing any fringes from being generated while displaying moving images.

    摘要: A display ON sequence for preventing problems in a display at the starting time of a liquid crystal display device is prevented from having malfunctions, which might otherwise be caused in a scanning line drive circuit by applying a voltage to scanning signal lines. In the display ON sequence at the starting time of the liquid crystal display device of an active matrix type, all the scanning signal lines of a liquid crystal panel are brought into a selected state thereby to release the electric charges in the liquid crystal capacity and the auxiliary capacity in each pixel forming portion through data signal lines. After this, the scanning signal lines are stepwise brought into an unselected state by dividing them several times, before their sequential selections (or scans) for the display are started. Thus, the electric current to flow through the bulk of the scanning signal line drive circuit is made lower than that of the prior art, in which the scanning signal lines were simultaneously brought into the unselected state.
