The rolling bearing 3 includes a circumferential groove formed on an outer periphery of an outer ring 5 and an axial groove extending from place in the circumferential groove and opening on a lateral side of the outer ring 5.

A cam shaft assembly is provided which accomplishes torque reduction, which obviates a shortened service life of a bearing and which is designed to reduce a radial dimension with respect to the center of a camshaft. The cam shaft assembly includes: the cam shaft (1); a cam 2 separate from the cam shaft (1) and including a through-hole so as to be fitted on the cam shaft (1); and a rolling bearing 3 including annular monolithic inner and outer rings and serving to rotatably support the cam shaft (1). The cam shaft (1) is formed in a linear structure which has the same diameter at its portion where the cam 2 is mounted and its portion where the rolling bearing 3 is mounted.

A shaft assembly includes: a shaft 1; and a rolling bearing 3 for rotatably supporting the shaft 1. The shaft 1 has a hollow configuration and is provided with a different nature member 25, formed from a material different from that forming the shaft 1, in a hollow portion 24 thereof. Thus, the shaft assembly accomplishes torque reduction by reducing the frictional resistance of the bearing and is adapted to reduce vibrations and noises associated with the use of the rolling bearing.

The controller sets a flow entry, in which are defined a rule and an action used to uniformly control a packet as a flow, in a flow table of the switch. The switch determines whether or not to perform a sampling processing to a received packet, in accordance with the flow table setting, and notifies the controller of a sampling result in a case where a sampling processing is performed to the received packet. The controller updates the flow table in accordance with the sampling result and narrows packets to perform a sampling processing.
