A compact rolling bearing with a rotation sensor is proposed which has a shortened axial length of a housing for mounting the rotation sensor. The rolling bearing comprises a rotating bearing ring and a fixed bearing ring, and the rotation sensor comprises a rotating element mounted to the rotating bearing ring and a detecting element mounted on the fixed bearing ring so as to oppose the rotating element, and an electric circuit board. The electric circuit board has a flexibility. With this arrangement, it is possible to mount the electric circuit board in a curved state in a limited space on a peripheral wall of the sensor housing, and thus to shorten the axial length of the sensor housing. This provides a compact rolling bearing with the rotation sensor. Another embodiment has a magnetic encoder, the binder for which is heat-resistant nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber or silicone rubber.

Even when the surface of the outer race or inner race is a surface for receiving a preload, the strain, vibration or impact caused by external force and exerted on the surface is absorbed in the shock-absorbing body made of an elastic rubber material.

The object is to produce a magnetic encoder having a large outer diameter at a low cost, provide a sensor case which is compact in size and can be easily mounted and dismounted with a sensor element received therein, and to provide a double row rolling bearing with a preload application device and a rotational speed sensor which comprises a small number of parts and thus can be assembled easily. A magnetic member 12 of the magnetic encoder 11 is made of a magnetic material bound by rubber. The magnetic member 12 is bonded to an annular presser member 8, which also serves as a metal core, by an adhesive 13, thus eliminating the need for a mold and other facilities for vulcanization bonding. This makes it possible to manufacture a magnetic encoder 11 with a large outer diameter at a low cost.

The wireless sensor units include a sensor section for detecting a detection object, a sensor signal transmitting section for transmitting by wireless a sensor signal from the sensor section, and a power supply section having a power receiving section for receiving a driving power transmitted by wireless. In this system, a power supply monitoring section is provided for monitoring the voltage of the power supply section. The sensor signal receiving unit includes a monitor dependent power control section for regulating the power to be transmitted, depending on a monitored result of the power monitoring section.
