摘要: A process for the preparation of hydrocarbons by catalytic reaction of carbon monoxide with hydrogen in which reaction a feed comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide is contacted at elevated temperature and pressure with a catalyst comprising cobalt and manganese in which catalyst the cobalt/manganese molar ratio is between 14:1 and 7:1 and the GHSV is at least 1600 N1/1/h. Preferably the cobalt/manganese molar ratio is between 13:1 and 9:1 and the GHSV is between 2700 and 25,000 N1/1/h. The reaction is especially carried out in a slurry phase regime.

摘要: The present invention relates to a catalyst for use in a process for the preparation of hydrocarbons comprising cobalt and manganese and/or vanadium, supported on a carrier, wherein the cobalt:(manganese+vanadium) atomic ratio is at least 12:1. Preferably, the cobalt:(manganese+vanadium) atomic ratio is at most 1500:1. The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of hydrocarbons which comprises contacting a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide at elevated temperature and pressure with a catalyst as described hereinbefore. Typically, at least part of the cobalt is present in the metallic state.

摘要: A process for the preparation of a cobalt-containing catalyst or catalyst precursor, comprising (a) mixing (1) titania or a titania precursor, (2) a liquid, and (3) a cobalt compound, which is at least partially insoluble in the amount of liquid used, to form a mixture, (b) shaping and drying of the mixture thus-obtained, and (c) calcination of the composition thus-obtained. A catalyst or catalyst precursor obtainable by the process as defined, and a process for the preparation of hydrocarbons comprising contacting a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen with the catalyst as defined.

摘要: A method of accommodating a reduction in production capacity of one or more reactors in a multi-reactor assembly adapted for the production of hydrocarbon products from syngas, the syngas being provided by a syngas manufacturing facility and provided to an entry stream system providing syngas to each of the reactors, and having an exit stream system taking at least hydrocarbon products from the reactors, wherein the method comprises the steps of: redistributing the syngas from the one or more said reactors to one or more other reactors, and increasing the temperature in the said one or more other reactors to at least partially take over the reduction in production capacity of the one or more reactors.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing normally gaseous, normally liquid and optionally normally solid hydrocarbons during a production cycle (i.e. between regenerations or between start-up with freshly loaded catalyst and the first regeneration) by catalytic conversion of synthesis gas in a multiple reactor arrangement comprising at least two parallel operating reactors containing a catalyst capable of converting synthesis gas to hydrocarbons, and each reactor having a different relative reaction rate, wherein synthesis gas is distributed to each reactor at a feed rate proportional to the relative reaction rate in the respective reactor. It further relates to a reactor arrangement suitable for operating the process according to the invention for producing normally gaseous, normally liquid and optionally normally solid hydrocarbons during a production cycle by catalytic conversion of synthesis gas comprising at least two parallel operating reactors, each containing a catalyst, wherein the reactors are connected to a common header for the distribution of synthesis gas to the reactors, and wherein the common header comprises a distribution means for selectively controlling the amount of synthesis gas fed to each reactor.

摘要: A process for producing normally liquid hydrocarbon products from a hydrocarbonaceous feedstock, especially from normally gaseous hydrocarbon feed, having the following steps: (a) partial oxidation of the normally gaseous hydrocarbon feed at elevated pressure using air or oxygen enriched air as oxidant, to obtain a syngas mixture having hydrogen, carbon monoxide and nitrogen; (b) converting hydrogen and carbon monoxide obtained in step (a) into a normally liquid hydrocarbon product and a normally gaseous hydrocarbon product; (c) separating from the reaction mixture obtained in step (b) an off-gas mixture having nitrogen, normally gaseous hydrocarbon product, and unconverted hydrogen, carbon monoxide and normally gaseous hydrocarbon feed, insofar as such unconverted components are present; (d) combusting at least a part of the off-gas mixture in a steam raising apparatus, producing steam of an elevated pressure; and (e) expanding the steam produced in step (d) for compressing the air or oxygen enriched air and/or the normally gaseous hydrocarbon feed used in step (a); and a plant having equipment in a line-up suitable for carrying out the process.
