摘要： An Integrated Services Digital Network module includes a time division multiplexed switching network. Subscribers are connected to the time division multiplex network via a number of facility interface cards. These facility interface cards provide for two wire subscriber connection, four wire subscriber connection, T1 line connection and for three port conferencing arrangements. Originating and terminating multiplexers connect the facility interface cards to the time switching network. Another subsystem provides protocol interfaces for HDLC channels. Another subsystem provides interface to central office switching systems. Lastly, a general purpose computer and file computer system provide for the storage of database and form maintenance functions. Each subsystem is controlled via processor which is linked with each of the other processors by an ethernet local area network. This system provides both Primary Rate (23B+D) and Basic Rate (2B+D) interfaces to the subscribers.

摘要： A hydraulically controlled transmission for vehicles such as heavy-duty, high horsepower, off-highway trucks, the transmission having a plurality of selectively engagable change speed gears and hydraulically actuated friction type clutches for selectively engaging the gears to provide various speed ratios for the vehicle. The transmission includes a hydraulic control circuit in communication with the clutches and a rotary range selector valve is located in the circuit and driven in step-by-step increments by a geneva wheel drive means. The arrangement insures that the transmission can be shifted at only one speed range at a time and that an engaged speed range will be released before another speed range is engaged.

摘要： A torque converter comprises a stationary housing within which a rotatable impeller is mounted for driving a rotatable turbine. The bladed impeller is mounted on an engine driven input shaft, and the bladed turbine is mounted on an output shaft on the same axis as the input shaft. The impeller blades and turbine blades move through an annular oil-filled passage. A plurality of stator blades are disposed in the passage in spaced-apart radial arrangement around the axis of the shafts. Eah stator blade is divided into two sections, namely, a fixed forward section and an adjustably movable or pivotable rear section. Means are provided to pivot the rear sections of all of the stator blades simultaneously so as to vary the width of the flow channel between each pair of adjacent stator blades between fully opened and fully closed positions and any position therebetween to thereby control the amount of oil available for use by the impeller and turbine and thereby enable regulation of the power output of the torque converter. The movable rear section of each stator blade is provided with a stem which extends through a sealed opening in the stationary housing and enables pivotal adjustment of the rear section of the stator blade about the axis of the stem. The stem axes are parallel to the shaft axes. Each stem is provided on the end thereof exteriorly of the housing with a rigidly attached small gear which meshes with a large ring gear exteriorly of the housing. Actuator means are provided exteriorly of the housing to adjustably rotate the ring gear in opposite directions to effect simultaneous adjusting movement of the rear section of all stator blades. The actuator means comprise a manually operable power assisted actuator and a power assist assembly.

摘要： A drive member such as a gear of a pulley cooperates with a pair of clutch elements, each of which has a splined connection with a shaft. One clutch element is axially fixed; the other is shiftable through a small distance towards and from the fixed one. Each clutch element has a conical surface concentric to the shaft that tapers oppositely to the conical surface on the other. The drive member has an inner periphery of larger diameter than the shaft and has oppositely tapering conical surfaces that respectively mate with the conical surfaces on the clutch elements, which thus at all times maintain the drive member coaxial with the shaft and confine it against axial shifting. An actuator urges the shiftable clutch element towards the fixed one to engage the clutch elements with the drive member. A spring biases the clutch elements apart so that the mating conical surfaces can serve as bearings lubricated by oil delivered through the shaft.

The interface circuit includes control and sense decoders connected to control and sense fields. Receiving circuit connected to the attendant console receive data messages transmitted from the attendant console. A controller connected to the receiving circuit process the received data messages, storing the data messages in a temporary memory. Sequential memory connected to the temporary memory receive and store in sequential order the data messages after they are processed. The sequential memory further includes memory enabling circuit connected to the control and sense decoder. In response to the controller signaling the CENTREX that data messages have been loaded in the sequential memory, the CENTREX sends an enabling signal to the memory enabling circuit transferring the data messages out of the sequential memory in a first in first out order to the CENTREX via the control and sense decorder and the sense field.

摘要： An interface circuit for transmitting data and voice signals between a CENTREX equipped central office exchange and a remotely located attendant console. The interface circuit includes an analog interface arranged to receive analog voice signals from the attendant console and to convert the analog signals into digital signals for transmission to the central office exchange. Alternatively, digital signals received from the central office exchange are converted to analog voice signals and are transmitted to the attendant console. A digital interface connecting the attendant console and the central office exchange includes an interface controller arranged to control the operation of the digital interface. The digital interface further includes input data storage means for storing digital data transmitted by the central office exchange, output data storage means for storing digital data transmitted by the attendant console and serial transmission/receiving means for transmitting and receiving the digital data transmitted and received between the interface circuit and the attendant console. Responsive to control signals from the central office exchange, control data written to the input data storage means is processed by the interface controller and transmitted to the attendant console via the serial transmission/receiving means. Similarly, responsive to control signals from the interface controller, data processed and written to the output data storage means is read by the central office exchange.

摘要： An arrangement for transmitting data messages between a CENTREX equipped central office exchange and a remotely located attendant console. The arrangement includes an operating unit residing in an interface circuit connected between the CENTREX and the attendant console. The operating unit includes sequential memory connected to the CENTREX and to a controller arranged to receive and store data message from the CENTREX. The CENTREX sends a data available signal to the controller signaling that a data message is available for transfer from the sequential memory. In response, the controller sends the CENTREX a sequential memory read control signal signaling that the controller is reading the sequential memory. State machine called by the controller transfers a first byte of the data message from the sequential memory to temporary memory. The state machine accepts all additional characters from the sequential memory and stores the characters in the temporary memory until an end of data message character sequence is received. An analysis is then called by the controller which ascertains the data messages destination. Sending circuitry connected to the attendant console and to the controller transmits the data message to the attendant console. The transmission of the data messages is terminated by the controller by resetting the sequential memory read control signal in response to the CENTREX resetting the data available signal. This signals the CENTREX that the transmission is complete.
