Abstract:
A femtosecond laser based laser processing system having a femtosecond laser, frequency conversion optics, beam manipulation optics, target motion control, processing chamber, diagnostic systems and system control modules. The femtosecond laser based laser processing system allows for the utilization of the unique heat control in micromachining, and the system has greater output beam stability, continuously variable repetition rate and unique temporal beam shaping capabilities.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to a method and apparatus for processing a transparent or semitransparent material with a laser beam resulting in deterministic separation of a single sheet of the material into two or more pieces.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a system and method for client interoperability. In one embodiment, a method for client interoperability comprises establishing a network connection between a client and a proxy. The client requests a connection factory from the proxy. The proxy then obtains the connection factory from an application server using a Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI). Using the connection factory, a connection to a connection host from the client is created. When the client sends a message, the proxy receives the message and routes the message to a destination server. Similarly, when the client receives a message, the proxy receives the message from a destination server and passes the message to the client. The client can be specifically configured to extend JMS operability to a desired language. In one embodiment the client is a .NET client.
Abstract:
The application relates to clear liquid compositions comprising alkanoyl glycinate, amphoteric, alkyl sulfate and specific acrylate polymers.
Abstract:
An interconnect bandwidth throttler is disclosed. The interconnect bandwidth throttler turns off the interconnect, based on whether a maximum number of transactions has take place within a predetermined throttle window. Both the maximum number of transactions and the throttle window are adjustable.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for dual-target register allocation is described, intended to enable the efficient mapping/renaming of registers associated with instructions within a pipelined microprocessor architecture.

Abstract:
The invention is directed to methods and systems for sensing the presence of objects in the intended path of an automobile with a system to warn both the operator of the vehicle and the object of regard.
Abstract:
The invention relates to systems to manage parking meters using mechanical, electrical and electromechanicals monitoring and transmitting devices. Such intelligent parking meters may be used for example to monitor pollution by idling vehicles, survey the area about the meters to identify events such as vandalism, accident or any other designated emergency situation, and to monitor volume and flow of traffic to help coordinate traffic light sequencing for facilitating optimum traffic movement. The meters may be coin, bill or card operated and are useful for monitoring individual parking spaces designed to monitor conditions ambient to the parking meter and issue summons to vehicles violating the preset requirements.
Abstract:
A transmitter has a signal generator, an amplifier, a detection circuit, a comparison circuit, a loop filter, and an adjustable clock. The signal generator produces a signal. The signal is produced with a first frequency characteristic and contains frequency-related information. The detection circuit detects the first frequency-related characteristic and generates an associated signal in response. A comparison circuit compares the signal from the detection circuit and another signal. It outputs a signal associated with the difference between the two. A loop filter receives the output of the comparison circuit and generates a signal to the signal generator in. The loop filter is clocked at a second frequency by a signal from a clock circuit. The clock circuit can compare the first frequency and the second frequency, and can change the second frequency based upon a relationship between the two frequencies.
