A personal portable terminal and an operating method of a multimedia terminal device are provided, and more particularly, a multimedia terminal device, an operating method of the multimedia terminal device, and a personal portable terminal are provided. The multimedia terminal device may receive bidirectional content and additional service information corresponding to the bidirectional content, may classify the received additional service information from the received bidirectional content, and may transmit the classified additional service information to a personal portable terminal that is registered in advance and that is connected wired or wirelessly to the multimedia terminal device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an effective high-speed encoding method using a parity-check matrix proposed in an IEEE 802.1x standard for high-speed low-density parity-check encoding. In the prior art, encoding was performed by blocking and dividing the parity-check matrix of the LDPC code and through relevant matrix equations, or encoding was performed by an encoding apparatus that divides a matrix multiplication operation of a generated matrix acquired by using an arbitrary parity-check matrix of a quasi-cyclic (QC) LDPC code and information vectors into two sequential steps and implements each step as a cyclic shift-register. Unlike the prior art, the present invention provides an effective high-speed encoding method having low additional complexity by using a quasi-cyclic characteristic of a parity-check matrix as well as an encoding method through generation of a temporary parity bit, generation of a correction bit, and correction of a parity bit by using the parity-check matrix having a dual-diagonal parity structure proposed in the standard.
Abstract:
An image signal processing method. A first coefficient indicating a probability that a first pixel of an input image is an edge may be calculated. A first edge enhanced signal where an edge of the input image is enhanced may be multiplied with the first coefficient, and a first low-pass filtered signal where the input image is low-pass filtered may be multiplied with a second coefficient indicating a probability that the first pixel is not an edge. The two calculated values may be added, and thus an edge enhanced signal may be generated.
Abstract:
A method of receiving a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal in a GNSS reception apparatus is provided. The method includes the steps of: measuring channel quality for each frequency band; selecting a plurality of reception channels by using the measured channel quality; reconfiguring an operating parameter of the reception apparatus in accordance with the reception channel; and receiving a signal by using the reconfigured operating parameter.
Abstract:
An image processing method and apparatus is provided, with which a size of a filter window may be decreased by determining an edge direction of each of the pixels constituting an image and by vertically applying an anisotropic filter window to the determined edge direction.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating frames for MPE-FEC decoding are disclosed. The apparatus for generating frames for MPE-FEC decoding includes: a packet reception unit configured to receive a packet; a packet attribute inspection unit configured to inspect whether or not the received packet forms a header part of a section; and a frame generation unit configured to generate a frame according to different methods depending on whether or not the packet forms a header part of a section.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hierarchical random access method for a wireless communication system having a significantly large cell. According to the present invention, a length of a preamble sequence and a length of a reference slot may be designed based on a terminal having greatest capacity of adjusting a timing error arrived at a base station, and a slot length may be designed to be an integer multiple of the length of the reference slot depending on a timing error correction capacity, thereby enabling terminals to use various slot lengths.
Abstract:
A decoding method of an MPE-FEC (MultiProtocol Encapsulation-Forward Error Correction) RS (Reed-Solomon) decoder, includes: substituting a value corresponding to an erasure error position with 0 in a reception signal; calculating a syndrome by using the reception signal; calculating an erasure position polynomial by using erasure information; calculating a modified syndrome by using the syndrome and the erasure position polynomial; calculating an erasure error size polynomial by using the modified syndrome; calculating an error position by using the erasure position polynomial; calculating an error size by using a modified Formey's algorithm; and correcting an error through the error position and the error size.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a non geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) communication apparatus that extends an operation time using an ancillary territory component (ATC) and reduces a number of satellites, and an ATC and an operating method thereof. The NGSO communication apparatus for extending an operation time using an ATC and reducing a number of satellites may include a first ATC that communicates with a mobile earth station (MES), and a second ATC that communicate with the first ATC to relay data between the MES and the satellite when the first ATC is unable to communication with the satellite revolving along an orbit.
