Abstract:
An optical filter module with isolator function that has no polarization dependent property and in which no polarization mode dispersion occurs. An optical filter is arranged between a first optical input and output terminal and a second optical input and output terminal. A polarization splitting unit is arranged between the first optical input and output terminal and the optical filter, for separating the light into a first straight polarized light and a second straight polarized light which are in parallel to each other and which have polarization states perpendicular to each other. A first polarization rotation unit is arranged between the polarization splitting unit and the optical filter, for rotating the polarization state of the first straight polarized light by 90.degree. and then sending a first rotated light to the optical filter. A second polarization rotation unit is arranged between the optical filter and the second optical input and output terminal, for rotating light passing through the optical filter by 90.degree. and then sending a second rotated light. A polarization combining unit is arranged between the optical filter and the second optical input and output terminal, for combining the first rotated light with the second rotated light and outputting the resultant to the second input and output terminal.
Abstract:
An electric device has a casing with an air-inlet and an air-outlet, a main unit disposed inside the casing, a first temperature sensor for detecting the temperature inside the casing, a second temperature sensor for detecting the temperature outside the casing, an electric fan, and a control unit. The control unit rotates the electric fan at the time of the low-temperature startup such that the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor is lower than a preset first threshold value, while the temperature detected by the second temperature sensor is higher than the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor.

The present invention can provide a polymer film having an Ra (arithmetic average roughness) of 0.5 μm to 2.5 μm, an Ry (maximum height) of 3 μm to 11 μm, an Rz (ten-point average height) of 3 μm to 8 μm, and a light transmittance of 85% or higher. A preferable embodiment of the present invention can provide, at the same time, an optical diffusion function, an improved luminance, a transmittance and the like which are of a sufficient level not realized conventionally. In a still preferable embodiment, Sm (average concave-concave/convex-convex interval) of 90 μm to 160 μm and the average inter-local peak interval (S) is 5 μm to 15 μm.
Abstract:
A computer system comprises a computer that includes a plurality of CPU sockets including one or more CPU cores, a crossbar switch, and a memory controller each, and memories connected under the respective plurality of CPU sockets, the plurality of CPU sockets being connected to each other. When all the CPU cores in a CPU socket enter a power saving state and a total amount of memory use falls below a predetermined threshold, the computer relocates contents of the memory connected under the CPU socket to a memory under another CPU socket, thereby eliminating an access to the memory connected under the CPU socket and bringing a whole of the CPU socket into the power saving state.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a photosensitive resin which can give a photosensitive resin composition having excellent heat durability and excellent developability and showing excellent heat durability and excellent electric insulation reliability in a humidified state. The photosensitive resin composition contains the above photosensitive resin which is a reaction product produced by reacting an epoxy acrylate with a cyanate ester compound to obtain a reaction product (A) and reacting the reaction product (A) with a polybasic acid anhydride, and an epoxy resin.
Abstract:
A two-way line monitor has a signal beam splitter, first and second optical sensors and a mirror. The beam splitter is positioned on the light axis and angled so as to receive first and second input lights at 20 to 40 degrees of the angle of incidence. The first and second optical sensors arranged so as to receive first and second sample lights, reflected from the beam splitter and the mirror, at around 20 degrees of the angle of incidence.
Abstract:
A cluster system of mutual standby type forms groups each composed of a job execution system and a job standby system for taking over the job when problems occur in the job execution system, and provides information processing devices each with a job execution system and a job standby system of different groups. The information processing devices each include: an upper limit value storage unit for storing a power upper limit value, a power control unit for controlling use of power by its own information processing device so as not to exceed the power upper limit value stored, and an upper limit value setting unit for causing the upper limit value storage unit to store a power upper limit value smaller than the maximum power consumption of its own information processing device when it is not necessary to take over the job of another information processing device.
Abstract:
An electrical apparatus includes a main unit which consumes electrical power; a power supply unit which supplies electrical power from a commercial power source to the main unit; a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit; and a power source control unit. In a state where a power source of the main unit is the power supply unit, when power consumption of the main unit exceeds a first threshold, the power source control unit changes the state to another state where the power source of the main unit is the power supply unit and secondary battery.
Abstract:
There is provided an optical matrix switch which comprises a branch-selective network and has, in its center stage, a transmittance-variable optical switch (a gate) with one input and one output. Varying the transmittance of the gate can reduce crosstalk between channels, and, if necessary, can control the power of optical channels. An optical ADM is also provided. In this optical ADM, a first level controller is provided between first and second optical switches for drop and add and controls the level of transmitted light, the level of an optical signal dropped is controlled in a second level controller, and the level of an optical signal added is controlled in a third level controller. The individual members are provided in an integral form on a single substrate. This can realize a reduction in size and a reduction in weight of an optical ADM. Further, this facilitates the control of a variation in loss in each path and the control of the level of optical signals in a terminal for drop and a terminal for add.
Abstract:
A server system is provided in which it is possible to avoid an improper operation or malicious operation on, for example, a power switch of a server. In such a system, both a management server and multiple servers are connected to a network. Each multiple server includes: an authentication key storing portion which stores an authentication key; and a management module which compares between data inputted by operating the operation switches and the authentication key stored in the authentication key storing portion, wherein the management module sets the operation switches available if the input data and the authentication key are the same. The management module includes a function of writing the authentication key received from the management server into the authentication key storing portion. The management server includes a virtualized environment software which transmits the authentication key to each of the multiple servers via the network.
