    摘要: In a reagent strip for the dry-chemical detection of a component of an aqueous sample solution comprising a detection reagent in a membrane, the improvement wherein the membrane is an essentially anhydrous, but water-absorbing, membrane for a reagent substrate in an analytical agent for the dry-chemical detection of a component of an aqueous sample solution, comprising at least one hydrophobic film-forming, water insoluble organic polymer in which at least one hydrophilic organic polymer is dispersed as discrete particles. The reagent can be incorporated into the membrane when produced or can later be applied as by impregnation. The membrane performs as well as or better than multi-layer strips.

    摘要: A thermoplastic molding composition comprising, (A) an aromatic polycarbonate; (B) a single rubber-free copolymer, e.g., of styrene and acrylonitrile; (C) a first graft polymer; (D) a second graft polymer; and (E) a wax, is described. The single rubber-free copolymer (B), and first and second graft polymers (C) and (D) are prepared from a specific selection of graft phases and graft bases. The graft base of the first graft polymer (C) comprises a crosslinked, particulate elastomer having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.5 microns. The second graft polymer (D) has an average particle diameter of 0.6 to 20 microns. The thermoplastic compositions of the present invention are well suited for the preparation of molded articles that may be metalized over at least a portion of their surface by means of an electroless plating process. Such electroless plated articles are characterized as having improved heat resistance and adhesion of the metal plating.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a thermoplastic composition which is a blend of A) a thermoplastic polyurethane and B) an at least partly crosslinked alkyl acrylate copolymer of a C.sub.1-6 alkyl acrylate and a monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylonitrile, styrene, vinyl acetate, C.sub.1-6 alkyl methacrylates and mixtures thereof. The preferred compositions also contain copolymer selected from the group consisting ofC1) a thermoplastic graft product of a rubber component having a glass transition temperature below 0.degree.
