摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus has first and second hydraulic servos for engaging forward and reverse driving friction engaging elements, respectively, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. When the forward driving range is selected, the fluid pressure control unit supplies a forward driving range pressure to the hydraulic servo via a changeover valve operated by a signal pressure from a normal open-type solenoid valve, when the signal pressure is drained. When the reverse driving range is selected, the electronic control unit outputs a signal to magnetize the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is thus turned on to discontinue the drain. The control apparatus thus prevents low pressure in the reverse driving range pressure to prevent delay of engagement of the clutch.

摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus has a clutch, a hydraulic servo for the clutch, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. The fluid pressure control unit has a manual valve, a pressure regulating valve device, and a changeover valve device. The electronic control unit controls the changeover valve device and the pressure regulating valve device. Immediately after a shift to the forward driving range, the electronic control unit holds the changeover valve device in such a state that a forward driving range pressure is supplied without passing through the pressure regulating valve device. Then, the electronic control unit shifts the changeover valve device to such a state that a regulated pressure is supplied from the pressure regulating valve device, which has been switched to a pressure regulating state by the electronic control unit. This control operation precisely sets the fluid pressure changeover timing and the initial fluid pressure.

摘要: In a disengagement side control, in a power on state, a disengagement side pressure P.sub.W is output, P.sub.W being set higher than a base pressure dependent on input torque, and a disengagement side frictional engagement element is engaged and maintained. In a power off state, a disengagement side pressure lower than the base pressure is output, and the disengagement side frictional engagement element slips. In the disengagement side control, when the vehicle driving state is changed from the power off state to the power on state, the disengagement side pressure P.sub.W is changed from that for a slip state to that for a maintain state.

摘要: The present invention prevents shift shock and reduces time required to execute the complete speed change operation in the case where a second speed change is commanded while a first speed change operation is still in progress. If a down-shift to a first speed stage is commanded during an up-shift operation from the first to the second speed, the hydraulic pressure in the second speed change operation is controlled in accordance with the state of the first speed change operation at the time of generation of the command for the second speed change. For example, if a down-shift to the first speed stage is commanded during the torque phase of an up-shift operation from first to second speeds, namely, before change in the rotational speed of the input shaft has started, only completion control of the down-shift operation is executed. On the other hand, if the down-shift to the first speed stage is commanded during the inertia phase of the up-shift operation, namely, after the speed change has been started, hydraulic control of the down-shift is started with the initial speed change control.

摘要: A control apparatus executes appropriate speed change control under any operating conditions encountered during an up-shift by change-over, without requiring an increase in control logic. Engagement side hydraulic pressure is swept up as a result of an arithmetic operation in torque phase speed change control. Disengagement side hydraulic pressure is calculated by initial speed change control, dependent on the engagement side hydraulic pressure. The engagement side hydraulic pressure is directly controlled and the disengagement side hydraulic pressure is indirectly controlled, i.e. responsive to the engagement side control. Consequently, the same control scheme can be executed regardless of power-on state or power-off state and regardless of vehicle operating conditions.

摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission which includes a fluid transmission unit. The control system includes a clutch applied in a forward running range; a hydraulic servo for applying the clutch responsive to an oil pressure; input and output R.P.M. sensors for detecting the input and output R.P.M.s of the fluid transmission unit; a stop state detector for detecting that the vehicle is stopped; a start detector for detecting start of the vehicle from a stop; and a control unit for controlling the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo. The oil pressure of the hydraulic servo is reduced, when the vehicle is stopped, to establish a neutral control state in which the clutch is released. A completely applied state of the clutch is established by boosting the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo when the shift of the vehicle from a stop to start is detected, in two stages. In the first stage the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo is boosted by adding a set shelf pressure to the base pressure until the clutch comes into a partially applied state and then, in the second stage, the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo is further boosted until the clutch becomes completely applied.

摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission includes: an input clutch applied, responsive to selection of a forward running range, to transmit the rotation of an engine to a transmission mechanism; a hydraulic servo for selectively applying/releasing the input clutch; a stop state detector for detecting a stop state of a vehicle in terms of the selection of the forward running range, lack of vehicle speed, the release of an accelerator pedal and the depression of a brake pedal; starting operation detector for detecting an operation to start the vehicle in motion; application state detector for detecting the application state of the input clutch; and a controller for controlling oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo on the basis of signals coming from the various detectors. If arrival at a predetermined released state is decided, the hydraulic servo is fed with a summed oil pressure which is the total of an initial application oil pressure and a release oil pressure, to initiate piston movement and start of engagement of the input clutch, and the oil pressure is thereafter gradually raised from the summed pressure on the basis of a predetermined pressure relationship. If a failure to arrive at the predetermined released state is decided, the oil pressure is gradually raised on the basis of the predetermined pressure relationship from the oil pressure which is fed to the hydraulic servo when a starting operation is detected.

摘要: An transmission control unit includes a sensor for detecting a vehicle condition, a traffic condition monitor for determining whether or not traffic is heavy, a transmission pattern selector, and a transmission controller. The traffic condition monitor adds or subtracts a predetermined value in response to vehicle speed detected at set intervals of time so as to provide a vehicle speed value. The heavier the traffic, the larger the additional value. Also, the lighter the traffic, the larger the subtractive value. The vehicle traffic value is used in order to determine how heavy the traffic is.

摘要: The automatic transmission of the present invention prevents fluctuation of torque transmission through a band brake. In the hydraulic operator for the band brake, a resilient elastic cushion is provided between a rod abutting one end of the band of the band brake and a piston. Any slippage between the band and drum of the band brake will result in oscillation of the rod. However, the elastic cushion absorbs oscillation of the rod, thereby isolating the piston from that oscillation.

摘要: When a shift to a second gear ratio (second ratio) is determined during a shift control for a first shift (shift from fourth ratio to third ratio), the process status, or circumstances, of the first shift is determined using a hydraulic pressure for a fourth brake being engaged at the determination. When the process status, that is, the process circumstances, is in early phase, the first shift is interrupted and shift control for the direct shift to the second ratio (shift from fourth ratio to second ratio) is performed (first shift pattern). When the process status is in a late phase, the first shift control is continued, and after ending of the first shift control, the control for the shift to the second gear ratio (shift from third ratio to second ratio) is performed (second shift pattern). In the case of power off state, the second shift pattern is performed irrespective of the process status.
