    摘要: An over-running clutch assembly comprises an outer race having a cylindrical inner surface and an inner race having a cammed outer surface coaxial with the cylindrical inner surface and defining a gap therebetween and a roller clutch disposed within the gap; a biasing element biases the roller clutch to a disengaged position; and an actuator selectively overcomes the biasing element to engage the roller clutch and lock the inner and outer races to prevent relative rotation therebetween. The actuation disk and the case end includes a first portion adapted to provide initial axial surface to surface contact between the actuation disk and the case end when the actuation disk contacts the case end and a second portion adapted to provide an surface to surface contact only after deflection of the actuation disk under the force of the actuator, thereby providing a spring back response when the actuator is de-energized.

    摘要: A rotation transmission device is mounted in a drive train of a four-wheel drive vehicle to selectively distribute driving force to selected vehicle wheels according to the travel condition of the vehicle. This device includes an outer ring and an input shaft. A cylindrical face is formed on one of the opposed surfaces of the outer ring and the input shaft, while cam faces are formed on the other opposed surface to define a wedge-shaped space between the cylindrical face and each cam face. Rollers are mounted in pockets formed in a retainer mounted between the input shaft and the outer ring. An electromagnetic clutch is coupled to the retainer. A switch spring is mounted between the retainer and the input shaft. A two-way clutch is provided between the outer ring and the input shaft. A control unit controls the two-way clutch by adjusting the amount of current fed through a coil of the electromagnetic clutch according to the travel condition of the vehicle, thus selectively distributing driving force to selected vehicle wheels. A method of controlling the rotation transmission device is also proposed. Also, another transmission device is proposed which is mounted in the transfer of a vehicle.

    摘要: A control system for a 4WD vehicle has a rotation transmission device which can prevent a two-way clutch of the rotation transmission device from vibrating by repeatedly locking and unlocking when the vehicle is started in a cold environment. The rotation transmission device is mounted in the transfer. The transfer is provided with a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of oil in the transfer. If the oil temperature as measured by the temperature sensor is below a predetermined value when the vehicle is started with the drive mode set at the 2WD position, the hub clutches are engaged to reduce the idling speed of the two-way clutch and thus to prevent the two-way clutch from locking.

    摘要: A two-way clutch for allowing limited torque to be transferred until a roller clutch mechanism is forced to an engaged position. The present invention includes a roller clutch, with a torque generating device mounted thereon, including an actuator for producing an axial force onto a clutch pack. A torque transfer device is disposed between the torque generating device and the roller clutch. The torque transfer device is adapted to receive torque from the torque generating device and to transfer torque to the roller clutch. When a predetermined level of torque is produced by the torque generating device, the torque transfer device moves the roller clutch into an engaged position.
