The method includes opening the clutch at an initial rate to at least a first position substantially corresponding to a position at which the clutch can at most transmit the maximum torque which the combustion engine can deliver at idling speed, and from the first position, opening the clutch at a second rate which is lower than the initial rate.

    摘要: A power transmission device includes an actuator having an electric motor driving a pump to supply pressurized fluid to a piston acting on a friction clutch to transfer torque between rotatable input and output members. In one instance, a valve between the pump outlet and the piston selectively traps pressurized fluid acting on the piston without continued energization of the electric motor. A gerotor may be formed from a material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion and a housing formed from a material having a second lower coefficient of thermal expansion to vary pump component clearances as the viscosity of the pumped fluid changes with changes in temperature. A method of controlling the power transmission device includes defining a correlation between pump speed, fluid temperature and fluid pressure, determining fluid temperature, determining pump speed, and rotating the pump to transfer a predetermined quantity of torque.

    摘要: A vehicle having a conventional clutch pedal and brake pedal is provided with an antiskid brake system wherein a wheel rotation sensor provides a signal for the automatic release and reapplication of the brakes during a substantial wheel lock condition. Upon the initial reception of the signal, the clutch will automatically be released and will be maintained in the release position during any subsequent automatic release and reapplication of the brakes during a continuous single operation of the brake pedal.

    摘要: The objective of the present invention is to provide a clutch disengagement control mechanism that is for a mechanical automatic transmission and that can perform clutch disengagement control at an optimal timing during both ordinary driving and low-speed driving at the verge of stopping. To this end, the present invention is provided with a vehicle speed measurement device (3 and 6, or 4), a brake-operation-speed measurement device (8), a clutch operation device (9), and a control device (10). The control device (10) has: a function for generating a control signal that disengages the clutch from the clutch operation device (9) when the brake operation speed is at least a second threshold (B) in the case that the vehicle speed (X) is at least a first threshold (A); and a function for generating a control signal that disengages the clutch from the clutch operation device (9) when the brake operation speed is at least a third threshold (C) in the case that the vehicle speed (X) is less than the first threshold (A).
