    摘要： An jet recording apparatus, which records on a recording medium by discharging ink form a recording head, is provided with at least two electrothermal converting elements each having different amount of heat generation, and driven each individually, which are arranged in the ink flow path communicated with the discharge port of the recording head along the ink flow path each in different distance to the discharge port, and when the pre-discharge is performed without participating in recording, driving signals needed for discharging ink are supplied to the electrothermal converting element on the side near to the discharge port subsequent to being supplied to the electrothermal converting element on the side away from the discharge port. The pre-discharge is performed immediately before recording per line, and the number of discharges is set to be larger for the electrothermal converting element on the side away from the discharge port than the number of discharges for the electrothermal converting element on the side near to the discharge port.

    摘要： A conductive ball is formed by coating a generally spherical-shaped core made of a non-metallic material with a coating layer composed of a Cu layer and an Sn-5.5Ag alloy layer of non-eutectic composition. The conductive ball is disposed on a land of an electronic component via flux and reflown at heating temperatures whose peak temperatures reach 250 to 260° C. The Sn-5.5Ag alloy of non-eutectic composition is put in the state in which a solidus portion and a liquidus portion coexist to keep flowability relatively small. The conductive ball is fixed on the land without exposing an SnCu layer formed on the Cu layer. An electrode is formed without exposing the SnCu layer having relatively poor solder wettability. Between the electronic component and a circuit board, a joint section having a good electric conduction property and mechanical strength may be formed.

The cartridge includes a slit-shaped opening provided at an ink channel facing an ink-jet recording head, a filter provided at an ink introducing unit so as to contact an ink absorber, and ribs for supporting the filter that extend from an inner wall of the ink introducing unit to a substantially central portion of the filter.

    摘要： A liquid container includes a lever having one end supported to an outer wall of a housing containing a liquid therein and the other end as a free end, the lever being elastically deformable. The liquid container further includes a projection provided in an area of the housing which is opposite to and away from the supported one end of the lever, the projection covering at least a part of a space between the free end of the lever and the housing in the above area. By virtue of the projection, the lever can be protected against accidental external forces. In a cap-equipped liquid container, a straight line connecting a projected end of the projection of the liquid container and a distal end of a tab of a cap is set to cross a movable range of the lever provided on the liquid container in which the lever is allowed to angularly move with elastic deformation thereof. In a cap, an elastic sealing member for sealing off the surroundings of the supply port of the liquid container is provided on a bottom wall portion connecting first and second latch members to each other, and a part of the bottom wall portion is able to elastically deform upon application of an operating force.
