摘要: A process, apparatus, and system are disclosed for inhibiting erroneous control signals due to disruptive electromagnetic signals. In one embodiment, the invention prevents erroneous information writing in a recording device under the effect of background electromagnetic waves. A conductor pattern is formed on a printed wiring board on which wiring constituting a control circuit of a hard disk drive is formed. Background electromagnetic waves are detected by an electromagnetic wave detection circuit. In the case where an electromagnetic wave signal detected by the electromagnetic wave detection circuit exceeds a predetermined power, voltage, or current threshold, a write gate signal is turned off to inhibit a potential write operation.

摘要: A disk drive with means to prevent accidental landing of a head/slider on the disk surface is described. In one embodiment a shock sensor is provided to sense external shocks received by the mechanism. During loading (positioning) of the actuator bearing the head/slider over the disk, if a shock is sensed, loading is stopped and an immediate unloading is performed to return the actuator to the withdrawn position. In another embodiment the unload operation is performed when the rotational speed of the disk is changed. In another embodiment the unload operation is performed when the rotational speed of the disk drops below a threshold. A circuit and method for detecting when the rotational speed of the disk drops below a threshold is also provided. The unloading in the various embodiments may be performed using velocity control or without velocity control.

摘要: A position control system for a magnetic head improves servo tracking characteristics in a low frequency range without impairing the stability of seek operations. The position control system is equipped with two integrators: a first integrator 43 and second integrator 45. The gain K3′ of the second integrator 45 is set larger than the gain K3 of the first integrator 43. The first integrator 43 plays the role of offsetting the bias force acting on the magnetic head while the second integrator 45 plays the role of improving the servo tracking characteristics in the low frequency range.

摘要: A fuel cell two-wheel vehicle is provided with: a fuel cell, fuel tanks, a supercharger, a pipe line, an in-wheel motor, and a motor driver. The fuel cell generates electric power using hydrogen and air as reaction sources. The fuel tanks supply hydrogen to the fuel cell through a hydrogen supply path. The supercharger supplies air from the outside air to the fuel cell. Through the pipe line, an exhaust from the fuel cell is discharged to the outside. The in-wheel motor serves as a driving source of the fuel cell two-wheel vehicle, and the motor driver drives the in-wheel motor. In an air system, a route and an outlet of the pipe line are arranged to be directed toward the motor driver. Thus, a heat sink is exposed to the discharged air having passed through the fuel cell, and thereby the motor driver is cooled.

摘要: An internal combustion engine includes a continuously variable transmission chamber formed of a crank case and a cover member connected to the crank case to permit the use of oil different between the internal combustion engine and the continuously variable transmission. Thereafter, a sufficient amount of each oil is ensured to not reduce the lowest road clearance. A division wall divides an interior of an oil pan into an internal combustion engine side oil reservoir and a continuously variable transmission side oil reservoir that reserves oil for lubrication of a continuously variable transmission and for speed control thereof, and which is connected to a lower portion of a crank case. The continuously variable transmission side oil reservoir is formed in a width direction of the motorcycle wherein part of continuously variable transmission side oil reservoir expands more outwardly than a continuously variable transmission chamber.

摘要: A particulate filter regeneration system regenerates a particulate filter provided in an exhaust line of an engine equipped with a turbocharger by burning matter trapped on the particulate filter by raising the temperature of exhaust gas at times that the particulate filter requires regeneration. The system has an electric motor functioning as an intake quantity regeneration portion capable of increasing the flow rate of compressed air without depending on the flow rate of exhaust gas flowing across a turbine of the turbocharger, a bypass line connecting an engine intake line upstream of the engine to a section of the exhaust line upstream of the particulate filter, a flow rate regulation valve regulating the flow rate in the bypass line, and a control portion controlling the electric motor and the flow rate regulator.
