    摘要: A crash detection sensor having a supporting member arranged in a space in a door. The supporting member has sufficient strength to maintain its state under normal conditions. First and second electrodes, usually spaced, are provided on the supporting member. A shock larger than a predetermined level applied to the door causes the first and the second electrodes to be brought into contact with each other, thereby allowing a lateral impact to be detected in the door.

    摘要: A sensor that can rapidly and accurately detect a side collision of a vehicle. The sensor includes a fixed member in a vehicle door and a movable member that has an impact receiving part. The impact receiving part has a high rigidity outside of the fixed member. The impact receiving part also has energy absorbing parts with lower rigidity and a detection part arranged opposite to the movable member at a predetermined interval above the fixed member. When the impact receiving part receives an impact exceeding a predetermined valve, the energy absorption parts are deformed so as to move the movable member. This movement is then detected by the detection part.

    摘要: An air bag is stored in a folded state in a space in a door or an arm rest, laterally of a passenger in a cabin. An inflator for generating a flow of gas is also stored inside the door or the arm rest. When a collision occurs, the inflator discharges a flow of gas directed upward and introduced into the air bag, which causes the air bag to be inflated so that the inflated air bag occupies a space between a passenger and the door or the vehicle body, laterally of passenger. As a result, the passenger is cushioned from any shock caused by the collision, to thereby protect the passenger from injury.

    摘要: A side collision sensor system for a side airbag apparatus for inflating an airbag between a side door or inner side wall and a passenger of a vehicle, when a transverse collision is detected, to protect the passenger against a secondary collision. The side collision sensor system comprises: a side collision sensor arranged on the side of a vehicle body for outputting a collision detection signal, if it is compressed by a force of a predetermined or higher strength; and an acceleration sensor attached to an arbitrary portion of the vehicle body for outputting a collision detection signal if an acceleration applied sideways to the vehicle body has a predetermined or higher level. The side airbag is inflated if at least one of the side collision sensor and the acceleration sensor outputs its collision detection signal.

    摘要: The vehicle head light is provided with a heat radiating member including a pillar member provided to extend from a bottom wall of a housing, on which a light source is mounted, a heat radiating fins fixed radially to the outer periphery of the pillar member, and a guide wall provided surrounding sides of the heat radiating fins. The guide wall is sloped with respect to bottom wall of the housing so that spaces each formed by adjacent two of the heat radiating fins and the guide wall become narrower with increasing distance from the lower end of the guide wall. The guide wall is formed with slits to make air communication between the light chamber and each of the spaces, the slits being shaped to be narrower with increasing distance from the lower end of the guide wall.

Based upon right and left wheel speed values calculated by a wheel speed calculating mechanism (13) from detection values of right and left wheel speed sensors (11, 12), a wheel speed ratio calculating mechanism (21), a distance calculating mechanism (31), and a distance ratio calculating mechanism (32) respectively calculate a right and left wheel speed ratio, an actual running distance, a linear distance, and a distance ratio of the two distances at every preset checkpoint (CP). A wheel speed ratio change amount evaluating mechanism (24) extracts CPs at times where a change amount of the wheel speed ratio is relatively small as effective CPs, and a determining mechanism (43) determines an effective CP with the smallest distance ratio from among the effective CPs as in a straight running state.

The apparatus determines whether an amount of change in tire wheel speed of each tire wheel of the vehicle exceeds a threshold. The apparatus specifies a tire wheel crossing order, which is an order in which the tire wheels of the vehicle cross over a level difference between a road and a parking lot when the vehicle crosses over the level difference. The apparatus determines whether or not the vehicle has crossed over the level difference between the road and the parking lot, based on whether a threshold-exceeding order is identical to the specified tire wheel crossing order. The threshold-exceeding order is an order in which the amounts of change in the tire wheel speed of the respective tire wheels exceed the threshold.

    摘要: In a light chamber formed in a housing case and a lens cover placed at a front part of the housing case in a headlamp assembly, a projection lens, a shade and a light source are arranged in line from the front side of the light chamber along an optical axis of the light source. A radiating member has radiating fins of a plate shape vertically placed in the light chamber, and radiates heat energy generated by the light source to surrounding air. A slit composed of a vertical slit part and an inclined-slit part is formed in each of the radiating fins. The formation of the slit generates a change of heat capacity and a temperature difference at upper and bottom parts of each of the radiating fins. The incline-slit part is extended from the top of the vertical slit part to the upper part of the radiating fin.
