    摘要: A compressor having a device for recovering lubricating oil. The compressor includes a discharge chamber and a muffler, which attenuates the pressure pulsation of refrigerant gas sent out from the discharge chamber. The muffler is defined by a muffler base, which is formed on the cylinder block, and a muffler cover, which is attached to the muffler base. The muffler includes a first muffler chamber and a second muffler chamber, which are connected by an opening. The muffler cover has a gas outlet for sending the refrigerant gas out of the compressor from the second muffler chamber. Lubricating oil separated from the refrigerant gas in the first muffler chamber is sent to the crank chamber through a recovery passage. The location of the gas outlet can be easily changed by replacing the muffler cover. Thus, the compressor can be easily adapted to different engine compartments.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor that decreases displacement to reduce compression load without imbalancing the rotation of the drive shaft when the rotating speed of the compressor's drive shaft exceeds a predetermined limit value. The compressor includes a pressurizing passage connecting a crank chamber to a discharge chamber. A rotated guide rotates integrally with the drive shaft. The pressurizing passage is opened and closed by a valve body. Orbiting balls, which contact the valve body, are arranged about the axis of the drive shaft and the rotated guide. The balls follow the rotation of the rotated guide and orbit about the axis. The orbiting radius of the balls varies. A spring urges the balls in a direction decreasing the orbiting radius of the balls. When the rotating speed of the drive shaft exceeds the limit value, centrifugal force moves the balls against the force of the spring and increases the orbiting diameter of the balls. This moves the valve body and increases the size of the pressurizing passage.

    摘要: A variable capacity refrigerant compressor has a rotating drive shaft, a plurality of single headed pistons reciprocating in respective cylinder bores for sucking, compressing and discharging refrigerant gas, a rotor element mounted on the drive shaft to be rotated with the drive shaft, a swash plate element engaged with the rotor element via a hinge unit and with the pistons via shoes, the swash plate element rotating with the rotor element and reciprocating the pistons. The swash plate changes its angle of inclination to vary the discharge capacity of the compressor, and the maximum angular position of inclination of the swash plate element is limited by an inclination limiting unit formed by a first contacting area formed in the rotor element, and a second contacting area formed in the swash plate so as to come into contact with the first contact area when the swash plate element reaches the maximum angle position of inclination. The second contacting area is formed in a suction actuating region of the swash plate element which is separated from a compression and discharge actuating region of the swash plate with respect to a line of inclination of the swash plate. The hinge unit has an engaging point between the swash plate element and the rotor element which is located in the compression and discharge region of the swash plate element with respect to the line of inclination of the swash plate element.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor that varies its displacement by altering the inclination of a swash plate. A drive shaft is supported rotatably within a housing. A rotor is fixed to the drive shaft. A swash plate is mounted on the drive shaft and adapted to slide and incline with respect to the shaft. A hinge mechanism operably connects the swash plate to the rotor. A plurality of pistons, each accommodated in one of the bores and coupled to the swash plate, are reciprocated in the bore by the rotation of the swash plate. The hinge mechanism includes a guide pin that projects from the swash plate and includes a joint. A support arm projects from the rotor. The support arm includes a receptacle which accommodates the joint and extends toward the drive shaft. A bushing is accommodated within the receptacle and slides along a wall of the receptacle. The bushing is provided with an interior space to accommodate the joint. The interior space allows the joint to pivot therein when the inclination of the swash plate is altered. The bushing is provided with a slit to permit the interior space to be temporarily enlarged when attaching the bushing to the joint.

A first seal and a second seal, which always contact a cylinder bore, are defined on the head. An annular groove is formed between the first and second seals. Lateral forces acting on the piston are received by the first and second seals. A space is formed in the piston to open to the side of the piston between the second seal and the skirt. This reduces the weight of the piston and stabilizes the movement of the piston.
