    摘要: A method of making colored glass in a float glass process includes the steps of: melting glass batch materials in a furnace to form a glass melt; transporting the glass melt into a float glass chamber having a flame spray device, the glass melt forming a float glass ribbon; supplying at least one coating material to the flame spray device to form a spray having coating particles; and directing the spray onto the float glass ribbon to diffuse the particles into the surface of the float glass ribbon to form a glass sheet of a desired color.

    摘要: The present invention is directed toward a method for coating an article by placing the article in a coating apparatus comprising at least one coating chamber having at least one air conduit in flow communication with the coating chamber via an air pathway. A portion of the article extends into a shielding member. At least one coating member is positioned in the coating chamber and is in flow communication with a source of titanium-containing coating material. The coating member deposits the coating material onto the exterior of the article to form a coating. At least one exhaust member is in flow communication with the coating chamber via an exhaust pathway for removing excess coating material from the coating chamber.
