The invention relates to a personal identification method and to a corresponding apparatus. Their elements are mainly a light source emitting a beam of light towards a target, a first imaging module receiving a return beam coming back from said target and displaying an image of the target of a first type, and a second imaging module also receiving said return beam and displaying an image of the target of a second type. An identification module allows to combine the information given by said image of a first type and said image of a second type and to identify, or not, a person according to a similarity criterion.

The present invention relates to an analysis apparatus, in particular a spectroscopic analysis apparatus, for analyzing an object, such as blood of a patient, and a corresponding analysis method. To aim the confocal detection volume inside a blood vessel orthogonal polarized spectral imaging (OPSI) is used to locate blood capillaries in the skin. An imaging system (img) with slightly shifted imaging planes (i1, i2) for OPS imaging of blood vessels is proposed to provide auto-focusing. The confocal Raman detection plane (dp) is located in between these two imaging planes (i1, i2). Based on measured amount of defocus for the imaging planes (i1, i2), the focusing of the imaging system (img), the excitation system (exs) for exciting the target region and the detection plane (dp) is located inside the blood vessel (V). Thus, continuous auto-focusing with high accuracy can be achieved. The invention relates also to an optical tracking system for continuously tracking a point of a moving object (obj).

This object is realized in that the method further comprises the following additional steps: coupling geometry input light (70, 75, 80) from a geometry light source into the receiving volume (12), with the receiving volume comprising the turbid medium (45), with the receiving volume (12) further comprising a geometry medium (60) for surrounding the turbid medium (45) during coupling of geometry input light (70, 75, 80) into the receiving volume (12), and with the combination of the geometry input light (70, 75, 80), the geometry medium (60), and the interface being chosen for creating a contrast between the turbid medium and its surroundings; —detection of the contrast between the turbid medium (45) and its surroundings; reconstructing an image of an interior of the turbid medium (45) using the detected contrast.
摘要:
A property of a fluid is determined spectroscopically, such as for the purposes of in vivo blood analysis. First the position of a volume of interest through which the fluid flows is determined by an optical detection step by making use of an objective. Preferably the optical detection step is an imaging step. Next the objective is moved to bring the focal point of the objective into coincidence with the volume of interest. In this position an optical spectroscopic step is performed. This has the advantage that the measurement beam for performing the optical spectroscopy travels along the optical axis for optimum efficiency.

The invention provides a system (102) for accurately detecting a patient's (114) movement during imaging procedures. The system comprises a camera (126) for providing a stream of camera images of a part of a patient's exterior (206). The system (102) furthermore comprises a fiducial element (116), which fiducial element (116) is mountable on said part of the patient's exterior (206), and which fiducial element (116) is detectable in the stream of camera images, and an image processor (128) for detecting a displacement of the fiducial element based on consecutive camera images comprised in at least the stream of camera images and for generating an output signal (129) indicative for said displacement. Herein, the fiducial element (116) has an in-plane stiffness which is substantially larger than an in-plane stiffness of said part of the patient's exterior. In addition, the fiducial element (116) and said part of the patient's exterior are provided with substantially equal outer in-plane dimensions.

An optical detection method is provided, wherein a body part (5) comprising at least one joint is irradiated with light. Local attenuation of the light by the body part (5) is detected as attenuation measurements (2) at the position of the at least one joint and at the position of at least one other portion of the body part (5); and wherein blood flow to and/or from the body part (5) is temporarily at least partially blocked and thereafter enabled again (3). Distinct local attenuation measurements for the at least one joint and for at least one other portion of the body part (5) are performed for at least two of the times before (I), during (II), and after (III) the blocking of blood flow.

The present invention provides an optical analysis system for determining an amplitude of a principal component of an optical signal. The principal component is indicative of the concentration of a particular compound or various compounds of a substance that is subject to spectroscopic analysis. The optical signal is subject to wavelength selective weighting and wavelength selective spatial separation specified by a weighting function. The optical signal is preferably separated into two parts that corresponding to a positive and negative spectral band of the weighting function, respectively. The separation provides separate detection of the separated parts of the optical signal without significant loss of intensity, thereby providing an improved signal to noise ratio of the determined principal component. Separation and weighting of the optical signal is realized by two multivariate optical elements.
