The adhesive includes a blend of a poly(arylene ether), a thermosetting resin, a toughening agent, a plasticizer, and a cure agent. The laminate finds particular utility in circuit board applications.

摘要： The invention relates to plastic pallets that pass the Underwriters Laboratory UL 2335 protocol for pallets wherein said pallets comprises at least one resin selected from the group consisting of: (a) polyphenylene ether resin and blends containing polyphenylene ether resin, (b) polycarbonate resin and blends containing polycarbonate resin, (c) vinyl aromatic graft copolymer resin; (d) polyetherimide resin and blends containing polyetherimide resin, and (e) thermosetting resins. In a preferred embodiment, the plastic pallet has an open deck design. The invention also relates to a method to make pallets that pass the UL 2335 protocol.

摘要： A poly(arylene ether)/polystyrene blend may be prepared by melt kneading a carboxylic acid compound, a poly(arylene ether), and a polystyrene to form an intimate blend, and steam stripping the intimate blend, where melt kneading is conducted with a specific energy consumption of about 0.1 to about 0.3 kilowatt-hour per kilogram of blend. The method allows the formation of an intimate resin blend while minimizing the styrene monomer content of the final blend.

摘要： In a method of isolating a polymer blend from solution, a homogeneous solution including a poly(arylene ether), a poly(alkenyl aromatic), and a solvent is combined with an anti-solvent to form a dispersion containing solid particles. The solid particles have improved handling properties compared to particles formed from precipitation of the poly(arylene ether) alone.
