    摘要: A vehicle headlight capable of switching beams between low and high beams by vertically tilting a reflector by a predetermined angle so that upward forward visibility ahead of a vehicle can be secured during high-beam traveling by using a light distribution pattern having a cutoff line as a low-beam light distribution pattern. An upward deflection prism, projecting substantially perpendicularly downward from an upper side of a reflector up to a vicinity of a height position of an upper end edge of the reflective surface of the reflector, is provided in the vicinity of the front of the front end opening of the reflector. Part of the light reflected from the reflective surface of the reflector is made incident on the upward deflection prism interlocked with the upward tilting of the reflector when a low beam is switched to a high beam, whereby part of the beam is deflected and emitted to the vicinity of a position over a cutoff line by means of the deflecting and transmitting functions of the upward deflection prism.

The convex lens is arranged between the light source and the shade, and converges light from the light source into the vicinity of the upper end edge of the shade.

    摘要: A lighting control apparatus of a vehicle-purpose lighting device can contribute power saving effect, and prevention of a deterioration of a semiconductor light source, and also, can maintain driving safety characteristics. When an input terminal becomes a low level while a vehicle is stopped, a PNP transistor is turned ON, so that a source current I1 flows through a current detecting terminal; a switching regulator lights an LED under beam attenuating operation of 70% in accordance with a light emitting degree capable of satisfying a luminous intensity distribution defined in a law; when an upper beam is lighted, the input terminal becomes a low level; a PNP transistor is turned ON; a source current I2 flows through the current detecting terminal, so that the light emitting degree of the LED is further decreased, and thus, the switching regulator lights the LED under beam attenuating operation of 50%.

The reflector is partitioned into a plurality of light emitting areas that are radially formed around an optical axis extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle. Each of the semiconductor light emitting devices is disposed on an outer peripheral portion of one of the light emitting areas respectively. Each of the reflecting surfaces of the reflector is provided in one of the light emitting areas respectively.
