摘要: The invention relates to a layered double hydroxide (LDH) material and methods for using the LDH material to catalyse the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in a water-splitting process. The invention also provides a composition, a catalytic material, an electrode and an electrolyser including the LDH material. In particular, the LDH material includes a metal composite including cobalt, iron, chromium and optionally nickel species interspersed with a hydroxide layer.

摘要: Disclosed is an improved fuel cell apparatus. The fuel cell apparatus comprises at least one fuel cell, the fuel cell comprising two bipolar plates (200a 200b), one providing an anode side, and the other providing a cathode side, the fuel cell being configured to have a fuel inlet and a fuel outlet, and a membrane electrode assembly (422) disposed between the fuel inlets (201) and fuel outlets (203) of the bipolar plates. The at least one fuel cell is retained by a housing, the housing comprising a first outer plate and a second outer plate, each located on an opposite face of the at least one fuel cell. The housing further comprises a cooling element support which is adapted to support one or more fans that are adapted to provide an air flow toward the at least one fuel cell.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a catalytic assembly comprising a porous electrically conductive substrate, and a porous metallic composite coating the substrate, where the catalytic assembly has a three dimensional interpenetrating porous structure, where the substrate has a three dimensional interpenetrating porous structure having a first average pore diameter (PDSUB), and the porous metallic composite is amorphous and has a three dimensional interpenetrating porous structure having a second average pore diameter (PDPMC), the PDPMC being sufficiently smaller than the PDSUB to allow the porous metallic composite to coat substrate surfaces throughout the substrate including surfaces of pores in the substrate. The catalytic assembly may be suitable for use as oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts, among others.
