    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a package having a recess which includes a bottom surface having corners. The package includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a resin portion. The first electrode is provided at a first part of the bottom surface. The second electrode is provided at a second part of the bottom surface. The resin portion is provided between the first electrode and the second electrode at a third part of the bottom surface. A protection element is provided on the bottom surface. A light reflective material covers the bottom surface except for an uncovered region to cover the protection element and the corners of the bottom surface and uncovers an uncovering region of the bottom surface. The uncovered region is defined by linear lines and curved lines connecting the linear lines. A light emitting element is provided in the uncovered region on the bottom surface.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a resin package including: a plurality of leads that includes: a first lead, and a second lead, a first resin portion, a second resin portion, and a third resin portion, the leads and the at least one inner lateral wall surface of the first resin portion defining a recess, the third resin portion being located between the first lead and the second lead, the second resin portion disposed surrounding an element mounting region at the bottom of the recess; and at least one light emitting element disposed on an element mounting region. At least one inner lateral wall surface of the recess has at least one protruding portion that protrudes toward the at least one light emitting element. A region of the recess between the at least one inner lateral wall surface and the second resin portion is covered by a light-reflective member.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a resin package having a recess defined by a recess bottom surface and a recess lateral surface. The resin package includes a first lead including a first lead lower surface, a first lead upper surface, and an end portion. The light emitting element is mounted on the first lead upper surface opposite to the first lead lower surface. The light reflecting member is disposed on the recess bottom surface between the recess lateral surface and the light emitting element in a lateral direction. The end portion is provided between the first lead lower surface and the light reflecting member in the lateral direction. The end portion has a cross-sectional area viewed in the lateral direction which is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the first lead between the first lead lower surface and the first lead upper surface viewed in the lateral direction.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a base structure, a wall, a light emitting element, a protection element, and a light reflective portion. The wall includes an inner peripheral surface defining an opening. The opening has a substantially polygonal shape in a planar view of the light emitting device. The light reflective portion has a maximum length which is longest in the light reflective portion. The maximum length is defined at a maximum-length position closest to the first corner among a plurality of positions defined in the light reflective portion. The light reflective portion has a minimum length which is shortest in the light reflective portion. The minimum length is defined at a minimum-length position arranged apart from the maximum-length position. The light reflective portion includes an inclined surface extending from the maximum-length position to the minimum-length position.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a base having a first lead electrode and a second lead electrode. Each of the first lead electrode and the second lead electrode includes a reflecting layer which includes silver or silver alloy plating containing a sulfur-based gloss agent.     Abstract: A lead frame includes a plurality of unit structures, an outer frame, a plurality of extending portions, and a plurality of coupling portions. The unit structures each includes a first lead portion and a second lead portion aligned in a first direction, and grouped into first and second groups including a plurality of the unit structures aligned in the first direction. The extending portions each includes a first extending portion extending in the second direction and connecting the first lead portions of the unit structures in the first and second groups a second extending portion connecting the second lead portions of the unit structures in the first and second groups. The coupling portions connect all the first extending portions and the second extending portions. At least one of the extending portions located at one of ends in the first direction is not directly connected to the outer frame.
