Abstract:
A vehicle steering device capable of stabilizing behavior of a vehicle when traveling backward. The device includes a reaction force device configured to apply steering reaction force to a wheel, a drive device configured to turn tires in accordance with steering of the wheel, and a control unit configured to control the reaction force device and the drive device. The control unit includes a turning ratio map unit configured to set a turning ratio gain in accordance with the vehicle speed of a vehicle, and a target turning angle generation unit configured to generate a target turning angle by multiplying the steering angle of the wheel by the turning ratio gain. The turning ratio gain at backward traveling of the vehicle is equal to or larger than the turning ratio gain at forward traveling of the vehicle.
Abstract:
The motor control device includes plural motor current blocking units that, in blocking operation, individually block energization between plural motor driving circuits and multi-phase motor windings of a multi-phase electric motor and an abnormality detecting unit that detects a short-circuit failure of the motor current blocking units. The abnormality detecting unit causes one or more motor current blocking units of the plural motor current blocking units to perform a blocking operation during energization between the plural motor driving circuits and the multi-phase electric motor, and, during the blocking operation, detects a short-circuit failure of the motor current blocking units caused to perform the blocking operation based on current values of currents flowing to the plural motor driving circuits.
Abstract:
A motor control apparatus includes a motor current shutoff unit inserted between a multi-phase inverter circuit and a multi-phase electric motor to shut off a current for each of plural phases, the inverter circuit including an arm for each of the plural phases, a redundant arm unit including one or more arms, a connection selecting unit selecting which one of windings of the electric motor is to be connected to each of the one or more arms of the redundant arm unit, an abnormal arm detection unit detecting an abnormality in each of the plural phases of the inverter circuit, and an abnormality control unit shutting off connection between an abnormal arm and the motor when the abnormal arm detection unit detects the abnormal arm, and connecting the one or more arms of the redundant arm unit to a winding of the motor shut off.
Abstract:
A motor control apparatus that is capable of making the whole control system robust not only with respect to motor parameter variations such as the temperature variation and the manufacturing unevenness but also with respect to disturbances while using a cheap and compact one-shunt type current detecting circuit and simultaneously diagnosing an estimation error and an electric power steering apparatus provide with the motor control apparatus.

Abstract:
A vehicle steering device includes a reaction force device, a drive device, a first ECU configured to control the reaction force device, a second ECU configured to control the drive device, a first rudder angle sensor and a second rudder angle sensor each configured to detect a steering angle of a wheel and output the detected steering angle to the second ECU, and a communication line that transmits at least one of steering angles of the wheel as detected values of the first rudder angle sensor and the second rudder angle sensor from the second ECU to the first ECU.
Abstract:
A motor controller, an electric power steering device using the motor controller, and a vehicle using the motor controller are provided. The motor controller includes plural hardware sets configured to operate in a normal state and to output a motor current, a control operation device configured to control the plurality of hardware sets commonly, an electric motor configured to operate with motor current output from each of the plurality of hardware sets, and an abnormality diagnosis unit configured to diagnose an abnormality of each of the plurality of hardware sets. In the control device, when there is an abnormal hardware set that has been diagnosed by the abnormality diagnosis unit, the control operation device stops an operation of the abnormal hardware set that has been diagnosed, and continues driving of the electric motor with a normal hardware set.

Abstract:
A motor control unit that does not make an occurrence of a noisy sound and a vibration and does not give a steering discomfort by changing parameters of a current feedback control section even if an electric characteristic of the motor varies with a system-switching due to a failure occurrence, and to an electric power steering apparatus using the same and a vehicle. The motor control unit controls a motor having multi-system motor windings by means of a 3-phase current feedback system provided with a current control section through a motor driving circuit of each winding system, having a function that changes by switching parameters of the current control section corresponding to a driving system number of the multi-system motor windings.
Abstract:
A motor controller includes: a main motor drive circuit configured to control driving of a multi-phase electric motor; a backup motor drive circuit configured to control driving of the multi-phase electric motor, when an abnormality occurs at the main motor drive circuit; and an abnormality diagnosis unit configured to diagnose the abnormality of the main and backup motor drive circuits. In a normal drive state, only the main motor drive circuit is configured to drive the multi-phase electric motor, and in a backup drive state, when the abnormality diagnosis unit diagnoses that the abnormality occurs at the main motor drive circuit as a diagnoses result, a motor current of a phase output unit where the abnormality occurs is cut off, and the phase output unit that has been cut off is replaced with another phase output unit of a same phase in the backup motor drive circuit.
