When a vehicle is stationary on a slope, the vehicle is allowed to remain stably stationary without consuming much energy by controlling the attitude of a vehicle body by moving an active weight portion with no torque applied to a drive wheel by actuating a braking device to stop rotation of the drive wheel. To this end, a vehicle includes: a drive wheel rotatably attached to a vehicle body; an active weight portion attached so as to be movable relative to the vehicle body; and a vehicle control device that controls an attitude of the vehicle body by controlling at least one of a drive torque applied to the drive wheel and a position of the active weight portion. The vehicle control device controls the attitude of the vehicle body by controlling only the position of the active weight portion when the vehicle is stationary on a slope.

A communication navigation system, wherein a navigation apparatus requests a recommended route guidance data to a information center and guides a user of the navigation apparatus to a destination by using the recommended route guidance data received from the information center. In this present invention, the navigation apparatus transmits version data of road data held in the navigation apparatus at the request to the information center. The information center prepares a guidance data of recommended route using latest road data held in the information center, and transmits the data to the navigation apparatus. When the information center transmits the guidance data, the information center selects the type of data of the road links along the recommended route, in the guidance data, by comparing the version data received from the navigation apparatus and the version data of each road link along the recommended route. If each data of road links along the recommended route is considered to be contained in the road data held in the navigation apparatus, the information center transmits the only data which enable to specify the road link from the road data held in the navigation apparatus. On the hand, if each data of road links is considered not to be contained in the road data held in the navigation apparatus, the information center transmits whole data of the road link. Therefore, the navigation apparatus can generate the route guidance data by extracting road link data, from its own road data, corresponding to the road link specified by transmitted data and by reconstructing road link data using transmitted data.

The power transmission device includes an impedance adjusting unit configured to adjust an impedance between a power supply unit and a power transmission unit. A vehicle ECU assists an alignment between the power transmission unit and the power receiving unit in the parking operation based on a power transmission efficiency between the power transmission unit and the power receiving unit. A power transmission ECU, at the time of the alignment in the parking operation, controls the impedance adjusting unit based on a distance between the power transmission unit and the power receiving unit in a vertical direction (vehicle height). Accordingly, lowering of the power transmission efficiency caused by a change in an impedance along with a change in the vehicle height can be suppressed.

A navigation system includes a navigation center and at least one moving body. The navigation center of the navigation system comprises memory means for storing navigation information; updating means for constantly updating the navigation information stored in the memory means; route searching means for setting a route from a current position of the moving body to a destination on the basis of the newest navigation information updated by the updating means; dividing means for dividing the searched route into at least two portions; extracting means for extracting navigation data concerning at least a head portion of the divided route from the memory means; transmitting means for transmitting to the moving body the extracted navigation data; and control means. After transmitting the navigation data for the head portion to the moving body and before transmitting navigation data for a remaining route, the control means controls each of the route searching means, the dividing means, the extracting means and the transmitting means so that each means performs the respective processes. This arrangement enables a user of the moving body to be provided with route guidance which is conducted using the navigation data formed based on the newest navigation information that reflects various road conditions.
