摘要: A wire sawing apparatus includes a plurality of cutting wires arranged in parallel with one another and caused to travel in their axial directions; a table on which a workpiece is placed and held; a moving device for vertically moving the table; and a machining-liquid feed pipe. While a machining liquid is falling from a machining-liquid feed opening of the machining-liquid feed pipe, the moving device causes the workpiece to be pressed against the traveling cutting wires, thereby cutting the workpiece. The wire sawing apparatus further includes a plurality of strip members attached to and hanging from the machining-liquid feed pipe. The strip members control the geometry of the machining liquid falling from the machining-liquid feed pipe such that the machining liquid falls substantially vertically without concentrating toward the center.

摘要: As a therapy for angiostenosis, angioplasty (PTA, PTCA), in which a small balloon is inflated in a blood vessel to expand the vessel, has been widely practiced as a minimally invasive treatment. In this therapy, however, repeated stenosis (restenosis) occurs at a high incidence. In order to reduce the restenosis rate, procedures that use indwelling stents have gained popularity in recent years. However, restenosis has been reported in about 20% to 30% of stent placement cases. Although attempts have been made to coat the stent with a drug that regulates occlusion, stenosis still occurs at a high frequency. At least two layers including an immunosuppressant-containing layer and an antiinflammatory agent-containing layer are provided on the surface of an indwelling stent.

摘要: A financial transaction processing system comprising an IC card (6) for use in transaction with a financial body, terminals (21e-24e) communicating with the IC card (6) and centers (21-24) provided for each financial body. The IC card (6) comprises a read only memory (2) for storing data for specifying transaction accounts corresponding to a plurality of financial bodies and data of a single secret number common to the financial bodies. When the IC card (6) is inserted into the terminal, a customer can designate a specific account which he wishes to use, by operating a keyboard (20) provided in each of the terminals. In response to such designation, the corresponding account specifying data is read out from the ROM, but if the corresponding account is not stored in the ROM 2, a transaction can not be made. In addition, the account specifying data as read out and a claimed amount entered by a customer are sent to a center for the financial institutions carrying account where processing for payment is performed. However, if and when the balance is not sufficient, the center instructs the customer to select another account. A random access memory (3) included in the IC card (6) is made to store the amount after payment processing in the center, so that a transaction can be made with a cash dispensing terminal in an offline manner, by using such an IC card (6).

摘要: In an in-line type electron gun assembly wherein the grid electrodes of respective electron guns having the same function and constituting a main lens are formed into an integral grid structure, the grid structure is made up of two electrode members which are bonded together. The two electrode members are respectively provided with aligned three openings at corresponding positions. These openings are provided with long and short sleeves alternately such that the sum of the lengths of the long and short sleeves of the opposing openings of the first and second electrode members is equal to a predetermined length.
