    摘要: The present invention is aimed at providing a control system for a thermal fixing apparatus having an excellent fixing ability even at an initial stage of a copying process when applied to a high speed copying machine and ensuring a longer life of a surface layer member of the roller, while maintaining the economical benefit derived from the provision of a heater only in a heat roller. The fixing apparatus includes a heater roller 101 and a press roller 102. At least one of the rollers is driven by a motor 103 while in contact with the other so that both rollers are rotated together. A surface temperature of the heater roller 101 is detected by a thermometer 104 and is used for controlling a heating level of a heater 106 by a controller 105. A standby stage controller 110 stops the rotation of the motor 103 if it is determined that the surface temperature of the press roller detected by a thermometer 107 is higher than the upper limit temperature, and outputs a command for rotating the motor 103 if it is determined that the surface temperature of the press roller is lower than the lower limit temperature.

    摘要: In an electrothermal transfer system which uses a sheet formed by integrally binding at least a resistive layer and an ink layer and effects desired transfer by flowing electric current through the resistive layer thereby causing the resistive layer to generate joulean heat and enabling the ink layer to be partially fused to be transferred, an electrothermal transfer recording sheet has the resistive layer formed by application of a mixture of carbon black with a resin binder. The carbon black used herein is possessed of a DBP oil absorption capacity of not less than 300 ml/100 g. Thus, the carbon black content in the resistive layer can be as small as 5 to 35% by weight, the tight adhesiveness of the resistive layer improved, and the power consumption lowered.

    摘要: An X-ray generator includes a hermetically sealed main generator unit, and an electron gun and a target housed inside the main generator unit, and bombards the target with electrons emitted from the electron gun and passes an X-ray beam emitted from the surface of the target owing to the bombardment to the exterior through an exit window. An X-ray optical element is provided inside the main generator unit on the output path of the X-ray beam emitted from the target for regulating the X-ray beam and the X-ray beam regulated by the X-ray optical element is passed through the exit window. This configuration improves the durability of the X-ray optical element and enables the length of the X-ray path to the X-ray irradiation point to be shortened so as to suppress attenuation of the emitted X-ray beam by air resistance and thereby reduce power consumption.

    摘要: An incident monochromator and a microfocus X-ray source with an apparent focal spot size of less than 30 micrometers are combined so that the X-ray source can be close to the monochromator and the intensity of X-rays focused on a sample is greatly increased. A side-by-side composite monochromator is arranged between the X-ray source and the sample. The composite monochromator has a first and a second elliptic monochromators each having a synthetic multilayered thin film with graded d-spacing. The first elliptic monochromator has one side which is connected to one side of the second elliptic monochromator. A preferable apparent focal spot size D of the X-ray source may be 10 micrometers. Because the invention provides a high focusing efficiency for X-rays, it is not required to use a high-power X-ray tube. The X-ray tube according to the invention, moreover, may have a stationary-anode, whose power may be about 7 Watts.
