    摘要: A deployable pickleball barrier includes a plurality of panels having a first rigid surface, a second rigid surface, and a substantially straight channel coupling the rigid surfaces. Each of the plurality of panels are coupled with another of the plurality of panels by an interpanel joint that includes a rigid bond and a plurality of fold lines formed in the first rigid surface to form a rightwardly biasing hinge. Each of the plurality of panels includes an intrapanel joint including a plurality of fold lines formed in the second rigid surface to form a leftwardly biasing hinge. The deployable pickleball barrier can be folded at each of the hinges to alternate between a deployed configuration and a folded configuration.

    摘要: A biometric sensor may be coupled to a portable communications device, such as a cellular telephone. The biometric sensor may be configured to acquire one or more measurements of biological characteristics of an individual. One or more of the measurements may relate to internal, sub-epidermal characteristics of the individual, such as non-volitional processes occurring within the individual, sub-epidermal structures within the individual, or the like. A biometric marker may be derived from one or more of the measurements. The portable communications device may be activated responsive to deriving the biometric marker. The activation may include transmitting the measurements and/or biometric markers derived therefrom to a receiver using the portable communications device.

    摘要: A glazing panel roofing system includes a glazing panel and glazing panel brackets configured to clamp upon one of the side edge surfaces of the glazing panel. The glazing panel includes two flat face surfaces and two side edge surfaces. The glazing panel brackets are configured to clamp upon one of the side edge surfaces of the glazing panel. Each glazing panel bracket includes a base clamping feature including a base gripping feature surface configured to abut a first surface of the flat face surfaces, a top clamping feature including a top gripping feature surface configured to abut a second surface of the flat face surfaces, and a threaded fastener securing the top clamping feature to the base clamping feature, wherein torque applied to the threaded fastener changes a clamping force applied between the top clamping feature and the base clamping feature upon the glazing panel.
