摘要: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure a plurality of beams, from a base station, wherein the plurality of beams are associated with a corresponding plurality of monitoring occasions for a first subscription of the UE. The UE may determine whether a monitoring occasion for a second subscription of the UE collides with one or more of the plurality of monitoring occasions, for the first subscription of the UE, corresponding with the plurality of beams. The UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a selected beam, from the plurality of beams, based at least in part on the measuring and the determining. Numerous other aspects are provided.

摘要: A UE registers with a paging hub to a message forwarding service that is configured to forward information from messages wirelessly transmitted by two or more RANs associated with different RAT-types to the UE over a local wireless network that is separate from the two or more RANs. The UE refrains from monitoring a set of downlink wireless channels used by the two or more RANs while the paging hub monitors the set of downlink wireless channels on behalf of the UE. The paging hub detects a signaling message that is targeted to the UE by a given RAN, and forwards a message including information derived from the signaling message to the local wireless network for transmission to the UE. The UE receives the forwarded message and selectively communicates with the given RAN in response to the received message.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel quality indicator (CQI)-based downlink buffer management as well as mitigating throughput loss in dual connectivity with multi-SIM. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes communicating with a first network on a first channel using a first technology, determining whether a tune-away associated with the first technology will occur, and outputting, for transmission to the first network on a second channel using a second technology, a channel quality indicator (CQI) report corresponding to the second channel if the tune-away will occur, wherein the CQI report indicates a lower CQI for the second channel than a current CQI for the second channel.

摘要: A method for reestablishing a radio resource control (RRC) connection on a second subscription upon completion of a voice call on a first subscription for a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) multi-standby (MSMS) mobile communication device, includes: starting a voice call timer at the start of the voice call on the first subscription; stopping the voice call timer upon completion of the voice call on the first subscription; determining an elapsed time of the voice call on the first subscription based on a value of the voice call timer; and determining whether the elapsed time of the voice call on the first subscription is greater than a value of a network connectivity timer.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with two subscriber identity modules (SIMs). The UE may select a synchronization beam associated with a random access occasion of a first SIM based on the random access occasion not overlapping in time with a reception opportunity (e.g., a paging occasion) of the second SIM. In some examples, the UE may select the synchronization beam based on an identified signal quality of the synchronization beam (e.g., in comparison to other available synchronization beams that are non-overlapping with the reception opportunity). The UE may perform a random access procedure (e.g., using the first SIM) during the random access occasion associated with the selected synchronization beam and, in some cases, may also monitor (e.g., using the second SIM) resources associated with the paging opportunity.

The apparatus configured to establish a wireless connection to a first network, tune away from the first network for a first predetermined interval, tune back to the first network after the first predetermined interval, enter a power control freeze state for a second predetermined interval after tuning back to the first network, send a plurality of transmissions to the first network during the second predetermined interval, determine if a number of the plurality of transmissions that are not received by the first network exceeds a first threshold or if a number of the plurality of transmissions that are retransmitted to the first network exceeds a second threshold, and exit the power control freeze state when it is determined that the first threshold is exceeded or when it is determined that the second threshold is exceeded.
