The LC combined transformer is a combination of capacitors, inductors and an electrically-isolated mutual inductor, i.e. conventional transformer; which in principle is a unity-coupled mutual capacitor or a cascade connection of an ideal transformer and unity-coupled mutual capacitor(s). To improve the imperfections of widely-used transformers, by employing the simplest passive-circuit design to attain a perfectly-functional match between mutual capacitors and the mutual inductor, this invention achieves optimal features of current or/and voltage transformation, and introduces a new function of waveform conversion from square to quasi-sine. The ideal current transformer herein is suitable for sinusoidal current measurements, the ideal voltage transformer herein suitable for sinusoidal voltage measurements, and they also could be upgraded to ideal transformers for both current and voltage transformations. This transformer can be designed as power transferable as well as waveform convertible, applicable in power systems or power electronics. Herein also states the design approach of integrated inductor and mutual inductor, and the use of push-pull inductor, materials being fully utilized and sizes decreased.

A fundus camera using infrared light sources, which included an imaging optical path and an optical path for focusing and positioning and two optical paths share a common set of retina objective lens, and a computer-assisted method for retinal vessel segmentation in general and diabetic retinopathy (DR) image segmentation in particular. The method is primarily based on Multiscale Production of the Matched Filter (MPMF) scheme, which together the fundus camera, is useful for non-invasive diabetic retinopathy detection and monitoring.

The glycolipid antigen and the nanoparticle are not antigenic in mouse and human being. The composition can further include covalent or non-covalent connection between the glycolipid antigen and the nanoparticle. The glycolipid antigen is alpha-galactosylceramide or an analog of that. The nanoparticle can be a polymer. A production method of the composition includes preparing a nanoparticle and a glycolipid antigen and loading the glycolipid antigen to the nanoparticle. The glycolipid antigen can be coated onto the surface of the nanoparticle or encapsulated within the nanoparticle. A method of stimulating NKT cells to produce anti-cancer and anti-viral cytokines without causing anergy of NKT cells is also provided.

This invention relates to a transdermal patch in the form of a layer complex, comprising a backing layer, a drug-reservoir layer comprising pharmacologically active ingredients and pharmaceutically acceptable adjuvants, and a release liner covering the drug-reservoir layer, characterized in that the drug-reservoir layer comprises isosorbide dinitrate and Bisoprolol at a ratio of 1:3 to 3:1 by weight, as the pharmacologically active ingredients. Animal tests show that said patch can reduce the elevation of T wave of cardiogram, the increase of the level of myocardial enzyme in blood serum, and the extension of the range of myocardial infarction caused by ligating the coronary artery in animals. Results show that said patch exhibits a considerable synergistic effect in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and has good preventive and therapeutic effects on several adverse events on heart. In addition, the animal tests show that the patch according to the invention has a better pressure-reducing effect than the application of the patch containing only one of isosorbide dinitrate and Bisoprolol, and does not worsen the arrhythmia that is easily caused by the application of the patch containing only isosorbide dinitrate or Bisoprolol.

The user-actuatable locking member can user-selectively engage and inhibit unwanted movement of the shaft.
