    摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing a separator comprising the steps of: providing a sheetlike porous substrate, a solvent, ceramic particles and an adhesion promoter; preparing a slip by mixing the solvent, the adhesion promoter and the ceramic particles; coating the substrate with the slip and thermally drying the coated substrate to obtain the separator. The problem addressed is that of specifying a process useful for producing separators having a higher ceramic content. The problem is solved when the solvent used is a mixture of water and at least one organic component; the adhesion promoter used is a mixture of silanes and at least one thermally crosslinkable acrylic polymer; the slip is admixed with a carboxylic acid preparation and also with a defoamer component free from silicone oil.

    摘要: A flexible, ceramic membrane is useful as a separator for batteries, especially lithium batteries, the membrane containing a polymeric non-woven; a ceramic coating on and in the non-woven; wherein the ceramic coating comprises at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2, BaTiO3, SiO2, and mixtures thereof; wherein the coating comprises at least two fractions of oxides selected from the group consisting of Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2, BaTiO3, SiO2, and mixtures thereof; a first ceramic fraction of the coating having been obtained from a sol; a second fraction of the coating comprising particles having an average particle size in the range from 200 nm to 5 μm; wherein the first fraction is present as a layer on the particles of the second fraction; the coating comprising from 0.1 to 50 parts by mass of the first fraction; the coating comprising from 5 to 99 parts by mass of the second fraction; and a network comprising silicon or zirconium; wherein the silicon in the network bonds via oxygen atoms to the oxides of the ceramic coating, via organic radicals to the surface of the polymeric non-woven and via at least one carbon chain to a further silicon; and wherein the coating is pinhole free.
