摘要: A surface light source device includes light source driving means for driving light sources on a light emission block basis, a light exit area being sectioned into two or more light emission blocks, light quantity detecting means for detecting light quantities on the basis of output light beams that are led out from the two or more light emission blocks, and drive control means for adjusting emission light quantities of the light sources corresponding to the respective light emission blocks on the basis of light quantities that are detected during lighting periods when only one of the light emission blocks is lit up that are subjected to light quantity detection by the light quantity detecting means.

摘要: A surface light source device includes a housing having an opening portion provided in a top surface thereof, a reflection sheet disposed on a bottom surface of the housing, a light guide plate disposed on the reflection sheet on a side of the opening, and a light source disposed on at least one of side surfaces of the housing. The reflection sheet has a first reflection region on a side opposite to the light source, and a reflectance of the first reflection region at shorter wavelengths in a wavelength region of visible light outputted from the light source is higher than a reflectance at longer wavelengths in the wavelength region of the visible light.

摘要: A primary object of the present invention is to provide a surface light source device attaining a homogenous luminance distribution on a light emitting surface of a light guiding plate in which a dot light source having a high directivity of emitted light is employed. The device includes: a light guiding plate 5 including a plurality of primary holes in such a manner as to locate each dot light source 3 inside; and dot printing 7a being employed as an auxiliary light source means which diffuses light from the dot light source 3 to the position between dot light sources 3 being adjacent to each other, wherein the dot printing 7 is provided at a base of the light guiding plate 5 and a middle point of the connected dot light sources 3 being adjacent to each other.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide a plane light source device having enhanced efficiency of use of light and high brightness uniformity. A plane light source device of the present invention is provided with a housing having an opening section, a scattering plate arranged at the opening section for scattering incoming light and a light source arranged at one side face in the housing, wherein a regular reflection section for regularly reflecting light incoming from the light source is provided in the vicinity of the light source at the bottom surface of the housing that is opposite to the scattering plate and a scatter reflection section for irregularly reflecting light incoming from the light source is provided so as to be adjacent to the regular reflection section.

摘要: To obtain a planar light source which is free from brightness variations or chromaticity variations by using a point light source having a high directivity for emitted light, and to provide a liquid crystal display device capable of obtaining superior display characteristics by using this planar light source device. A planar light source device having an opening in the upper surface comprises a hollow box, a diffusion plate disposed in the opening, a reflecting plate disposed on the bottom of the hollow region of the box, and a plurality of point light sources disposed in a row along at least one side surface of the box. This planar light sources device is characterized by including a refracting element disposed parallel to the row of point light sources and between the point light sources and the hollow region for refracting the light from the point light sources, whereby the light at an incident angle at which the brightness is greatest in the luminous intensity distribution of the light radiated to the irradiation subject surface of the refracting element is refracted to the bottom surface of the box by the refracting element.

摘要: A surface light source device according to the invention includes a housing having an opening portion on at least one face, an LED light source held by one face of the housing opposing the opening portion, and a light guiding plate arranged at a position so as to cover the opening portion and the LED light source. The light guiding plate includes a recess provided at a position corresponding to the LED light source for storing a part of the LED light source. A light quantity adjusting means is provided at a bottom part of the recess for adjusting light from the LED light source. The light quantity adjusting means includes a reflection sheet having a reflection function and a transmission function in which a total light transmittance t satisfies t≧πr2 cos θ/{(1−cos θ)(S−πr2)}, supposing that an average radius is defined as r, a distance from the LED light source is defined as H, a light-emitting area of the LED light source is defined as S, and a total light quantity is defined as L.
