    摘要: A biaxially oriented heat sealable multilayer film structure, suited for use in high altitude applications, which comprises:(a) a core substrate having two surfaces, comprising i) a layer of homopolymer polyolefin and ii) a layer of block copolymer of ethylene and propylene having a MFR of 1 to 10, adjacent to at least one side of i);(b) a polymeric heat sealable layer on one surface of said core substrate, said heat sealable layer comprising a polymeric material selected from the group consisting of a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and butene-1, a random copolymer of ethylene and propylene, a random copolymer of propylene and butene-1, and blends thereof; and optionally,(c) a high density polyethylene (HDPE) layer adjacent to the other surface of said core substrate (a).

    摘要: A multi-layer film includes a base layer comprising a polyolefin and at least one additional layer comprising a metallocene-catalyzed syndiotactic polypropylene, wherein the base layer and the at least one additional layer comprising a metallocene-catalyzed syndiotactic polypropylene are not suitable for use as a heat sealable film. The multi-layer films of the present invention have improved metallizable surfaces and the metallized films exhibit excellent gas (e.g., oxygen and water vapor) barrier properties, as well as good pick off, optical properties (optical density, haze, and gloss), and coefficient of friction (COF).

    摘要: A uniaxially heat-shrinkable, biaxially oriented, multilayer film having a polypropylene-containing core layer comprising at least 70 wt. % of said multilayer film and optionally, at least one polyolefin-containing skin layer adjacent said core layer, is prepared by biaxially orienting a coextrudate and therefore orienting said coextrudate by stretching 10 to 40 % in the machine direction. The core layer contains isotactic polypropylene and a sufficient amount of syndiotactic polypropylene to inhibit uniaxial heat shrinkage at temperature below about 50.degree. C. The skin layer can be selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, polyethylene, and ethylene-propylene-butylene terpolymer.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an oriented multi-layer film which comprises a voided layer and at least one non-voided layer on at least one surface of the voided layer. In one embodiment, the voided layer comprises a Ziegler-Natta or metallocene-catalyzed substantially isotactic propylene polymer in a polymer matrix with a cavitation initiator. In a second embodiment, the non-voided layer comprises a Ziegler-Natta or metallocene-catalyzed substantially isotactic polypropylene polymer. In a third embodiment, both the voided core layer and at least one non-voided layer comprise a metallocene-catalyzed substantially isotactic polypropylene polymer.
