摘要: An elastomeric composition is disclosed. The elastomeric composition includes, per 100 parts by weight of rubber (phr): about 30 to about 50 phr of polybutadiene having a cis-1,4 linkage content of at least 95%; about 40 to about 60 phr of styrene/butadiene copolymer; about 0 to about 20 phr of natural rubber or polyisoprene; about 0 to about 30 phr of a processing oil; about 10 to about 30 phr of a hydrocarbon resin; about 50 to about 75 phr of a filler; a curative agent; an antioxidant; a silane coupling agent; and about 5 to about 30 phr of a propylene-ethylene-diene terpolymer containing from about 2 wt % to about 30 wt % of ethylene and/or C4-C20 α-olefins derived units.

摘要: A modified diene elastomer having a good flow resistance, and imparting to a rubber composition containing the same a good compromise of hysteresis and abrasion properties and a satisfactory processing with a view to a tire application is provided. This modified elastomer comprises: a) at least 70% by weight of a linear diene elastomer predominantly functionalized in the middle of the chain by an alkoxysilane group, optionally partly or completely hydrolyzed to silanol, the alkoxysilane group optionally bearing another function capable of interacting with a reinforcing filler, the silicon atom of the alkoxysilane group lying in the main chain of the diene elastomer; b) more than 0 and up to 30% by weight of a star-branched diene elastomer, the Mooney viscosity of said modified diene elastomer varying from 50 to 80 and the glass transition temperature (Tg) thereof varying from −100° C. to −80° C.

摘要: This tire laminate comprises a film of a thermoplastic resin composition and a layer of a rubber composition laminated over said film, and is characterized in that the rubber composition contains at least one type of rubber component, a condensate of formaldehyde and the compound represented by formula (1) (R1 to R5 in the formula are defined in the specification), at least one type of methylene donor and a vulcanizing agent, and in that there are 0.5-20 parts by mass of the condensate per total 100 parts by mass of the at least one type of rubber component, there are 0.25-200 parts by mass of the at least one type of methylene donor per total 100 parts by mass of the at least one type of rubber component, the mass ratio of the at least one type of methylene donor and the condensate is 0.5:1-10:1, and, based on the total amount of the at least one type of rubber component, the at least one type of rubber component includes 4-40 parts by mass of a nitrile rubber that includes a carboxylic group in at least one side chain or terminal. This tire laminate exhibits improved adhesive strength between the film of the thermoplastic resin composition and the layer of the rubber composition.

摘要: The present application generally relates to a thermoplastic road marker having improved crack-resistance, to compositions of such road markers, and to methods of making and applying these road markers. Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a thermoplastic road marking composition, comprising: ethylene vinyl acetate (“EVA”) and/or ethylene acrylic acid (“EAA”) copolymers in an amount of between about 1.5 wt % to about 6.0 wt %; and core-shell particles in an amount of between about 0.5 wt % and about 3.0 wt %. In at least some embodiments, the EVA and/or EAA have a melt flow index equal to or less than 45 g/10 min at 190° C.

摘要: Process for the manufacture of an elastomer composition having a self-sealing property which is based on at least (phr meaning parts by weight per 100 parts of solid elastomer): a solid unsaturated diene elastomer; between 30 and 90 phr of a hydrocarbon resin; from 0 to less than 30 phr of filler; between 0.5 and 15 phr of thiuram polysulphide, in which, during a first stage or stage (a), a masterbatch comprising at least the solid unsaturated diene elastomer and between 30 and 90 phr of a hydrocarbon resin is prepared by mixing these various components in a mixer at a “hot compounding” temperature or up to a “hot compounding” temperature which is greater than the softening temperature of the hydrocarbon resin.

The sulphur-vulcanized rubber mixture contains 90 to 50 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight, of all of the rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, 10 to 50 phr of at least one polybutadiene having a glass transition temperature Tg of −110 to −65° C. and 5 to 50 phr of at least one aliphatic and/or aromatic hydrocarbon resin having a softening point (ring and ball to ASTM E 28) of 0 to 150° C., and a mean molecular weight Mn of less than 2000 g/mol and a polydispersity D=Mw/Mn of 1 to 5.
