    摘要: An apparatus for low-temperature plasma treatment of a continuous length plastic film which can work for surface modifying processing for a film using low-temperature plasma while maintaining the dimensional stability without causing damage to the film. The apparatus for performing surface modifying processing for a film comprises: a first vacuum chamber equipped with an unrolling unit for unrolling a rolled plastic film; a second vacuum chamber in which the unrolled plastic film is subjected to a low-temperature plasma treatment on the surface; and a third vacuum chamber equipped with a winding unit for winding the plasma-treated plastic film into a roll, the vacuum chambers being connected together in series along the running direction of the plastic film under treatment.

    摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a multifeed detecting mechanism including an ultrasonic sensor, and a control unit. The control unit includes (i) a detecting unit that detects an attached portion on a paper from an output of the ultrasonic sensor for the paper fed, and (ii) a determining unit that ignores, when it is detected as “Occurrence of multifeed” by the multifeed detecting mechanism and if an amount of variation in the output within the attached portion detected by the detecting unit is equal to or more than a first predetermined value, a result of detection as the occurrence of multifeed by the multifeed detecting mechanism, and determines the detection as “No multifeed”.

    摘要: In cooperation between each data center and a WAN, virtual machine migration is carried out without interruption in processing so as to enable effective power-saving implementation, load distribution, or fault countermeasure processing. Each node located at a boundary point between the WAN and another network is provided with a network address translation (NAT) function that can be set dynamically to avoid address duplication due to virtual machine migration. Alternatively, each node included in the WAN is provided with a network virtualization function; and there are implemented a virtual network connected to a data center for including a virtual machine before migration, and a virtual network connected to a data center for including the virtual machine after migration, thereby allowing coexistent provision of identical addresses. Thus, the need for changing network routing information at the time of virtual machine migration can be eliminated, and a setting change for migration accomplished quickly.

The light diffusion part can be formed, for example, on a reflecting mirror, an optically transparent window part located between the article to be heated and the lamps or a light diffusion area formed on the light-emitting bulbs of the lamps. The size of the region occupied by the light diffusion part is such that diffused light is not projected to the guard ring.
