    摘要： According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a connector, a graphics controller, a port setting module, a selector and a selector controller. The port setting module sets a first port used to output a video signal generated by the graphics controller as a data transmission port compliant with a first interface standard, and sets a second port used to output the video signal as a data transmission port compliant with a second interface standard. The selector connects one of the first port and the second port to the connector. The selector controller supplies a first signal to the selector in order to connect the first port to the connector when a first external unit is connected to the connector, and supplies a second signal to the selector in order to connect the second port to the connector when a second external unit is connected to the connector.
