    摘要: There is disclosed a process for producing a hydrogen-containing gas, which comprises reacting methanol, steam and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising palladium, zinc and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of chromium, gallium, copper, indium, bismuth and platinum. That is to say, the process include the following four aspects: (I) a process which comprises reacting methanol, steam and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising palladium, zinc, and either or both of chromium and gallium; (II) a process which comprises reacting methanol, steam and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising palladium, zinc, copper and chromium; (III) a process which comprises reacting methanol, steam and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising palladium and zinc, or chromium added thereto optionally, and either or both of indium and bismuth; and (IV) a process which comprises reacting methanol, steam and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising zinc oxide, palladium and platinum. The use of the above steam-reforming catalyst having a high activity, high selectivity and sufficient durability makes it possible to produce a hydrogen-containing gas which is composed principally of hydrogen and minimized in CO concentration in an industrially advantageous manner through an auto thermal reformer where methanol, steam and oxygen are reacted with one another.

    摘要: The present invention presents: (1) a starting method that is capable of quickly switching to the reforming process after warming up a catalyst; (2) a fuel supplying apparatus that is capable of maintaining a stable supply of a mixed water-methanol solution while preventing water from freezing in a cold climate, and is also capable of immediately supplying a mixed water-methanol gas that has a composition which is outside of the high-rate reaction region during the starting/stopping operation of the reformer when the control tends to be unstable; (3) a method to quickly cool down a catalyst layer without causing thermal runaway when stopping the operation of the methanol reforming apparatus; and (4) a method to quickly cool down the catalyst layer while preventing thermal runaway from occurring and removing residual fuel when stopping the operation of the methanol reforming apparatus. In order to achieve the objects described above, the methanol reforming apparatus that generates a hydrogen-rich gas by reacting a mixed gas of water, methanol and air on a catalyst is supplied with the fuel from a fuel supplying apparatus comprising a mixed water-methanol solution tank wherein the molar ratio of water and methanol used for reforming is controlled to a predetermined value, a mixed water-methanol solution tank wherein the molar ratio of water and methanol is controlled to 4.6 or higher, and a switching means that switches the mixed water-methanol solution tank used as a fuel source according to the conditions of operation of the methanol reforming apparatus.

    摘要: This invention provides a method for high efficiency, high concentration production of hydrogen peroxide wherein oxygen and hydrogen are reacted in the reaction medium in the presence of a catalyst comprising a metallic or carrier supported platinum group metal catalyst onto which an organic halogen compound which is insoluble in water, which compound excludes compounds which contain no halogen other than fluorine, has been adsorbed or a platinum group metal catalyst supported on a carrier in which a halogenated organic compound, which compound excludes compounds that contain no halogen other than fluorine, has been adsorbed to the carrier prior to supporting the platinum group metal. Since it is not necessary for halogen ions to be present in the reaction medium as it was in the prior art, the problems of deterioration due to the dissolution of the catalyst and of corrosion of the structural materials of the reaction vessel are alleviated.
