摘要: A hip stem centralizer datum guide and method are provided for positioning a proximal portion of a hip stem component within bone cement in an intramedullary canal of a femur. The datum guide is positionable in a predetermined position relative to the intramedullary canal and is able to create a datum that records the predetermined hip stem component position relative to the intramedullary canal. The datum is able to be referenced to position the hip stem component in the predetermined hip stem component position in the bone cement in the intramedullary canal.

摘要: An acetabular implant for hip replacement surgery includes a shell component and first and second alternative bearing components interchangeably engageable with the shell component to provide a choice in bearing materials. The shell component has an engagement mechanism suitable for locking engagement with the first alternative shell component. A conversion ring is lockingly engageable with the shell component to adapt the shell component to provide an engagement mechanism suitable for locking engagement with the second alternative shell component.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to an orthopedic implant that may be used to repair and/or replace focal defects in an individual's articular cartilage. In one exemplary embodiment, the present invention provides a unitary orthopedic implant that includes a bone contacting layer and an articulating layer. In exemplary embodiments, the bone contacting layer may have a thickness of between about 1 millimeter and 3 millimeters. In exemplary embodiments, the articulating layer may have a thickness of between about 1 millimeter and 2 millimeters. As a result, the orthopedic implant may have an overall thickness of between about 2 millimeters and about 5 millimeters.

摘要: A prosthetic acetabular component for a hip joint that is inserted into a bone cavity of the natural acetabulum. The acetabular component consists of an articulating component and a constraining component. The articulating component has a hemispherical or dome shape that defines a hemispherical cavity for receiving a femoral ball of a femoral hip stem. The constraining component has a body that connects to the articulating component to capture the femoral ball within the cavity of the articulating component. A locking mechanism connects the constraining component to the articulating component.

摘要: The present disclosure and related inventions relate to a combination of gift wrapping paper and pre-cut pieces of adhesive tape. The gift wrap may be a single individual sheet that is wound around a tube or mandrel, otherwise known as roll wrap or it may be folded into neat, square or rectangular shapes, also known as flat wrap. Several pieces of pre-cut tape are provided on an adhesive backing sheet, from which the pre-cut tape can be easily removed. The tape may come in various shapes, sizes and colors. Alternatively, to/from stickers or adhesive seals may be provided in place of or in addition to the pre-cut strips of tape. The gift wrapping paper with tape is packaged together in shrink wrap, cellophane or other clear or transparent packaging material. The package may additionally include bows, ribbons, cards, scissors, gift wrap cutter or other gift wrap accessory.
