摘要: Disclosed is a gain control circuit which comprises a gain control section including as its essential component a differential amplifier with which diodes or transistors arranged to act as diodes are connected as a load, and a control signal section including a logarithmic compression circuit and an exponential expansion circuit and providing a control signal for control of the gain of the gain control section. A temperature compensation circuit having a temperature dependence cancelling both the temperature dependence of the gain control section and that of the control signal section is provided in the bias circuit for the transistor in the last stage of the control signal section, so that the desired temperature compensation for the entire gain control circuit can be achieved at a single point.

摘要: A gain control circuit comprising a pair of transistors constituting a differential amplifier, and a pair of resistors each connected to the emitter of one of the transistors and having a sufficiently great resistance value compared with 1/gm of the transistor in the transistor operating range, the resistors being connected to a common regulated current supply to supply the halves of control current from the regulated current supply to the respective transistors, a pair of diodes are connected to the collectors of the respective transistors as a load, and a first variable resistor means is disposed in the current path traced from the diodes to the regulated current supply via the transistors and resistors for compensating fluctuation of the diffused resistance of the diodes. Further, a second variable resistor means is disposed in the base bias circuit for the transistors for compensating fluctuation of the base-emitter voltage of the transistors.

Also provided is an isolated nucleic acid molecule that encodes the triterpene methyltransferase polypeptides; a vector comprising the nucleic acid molecules that encode the triterpene methyltransferase polypeptides; and a host cell(s) transfected with the aforementioned nucleic acid molecule or vector. In another aspect, a method of producing a methylated triterpene is provided. The method comprises providing a metabolizable carbon source to a host cell transfected with a nucleic acid molecule that encodes a triterpene methyltransferase under conditions sufficient for production of a methylated triterpene. The method optionally further comprises isolating the methylated triterpene produced by the host cell.

摘要: Several aspects of this invention relate to diagnosis of diabetic states in a mammal using protein isoforms. In some aspects, it relates to a method for determining the diabetic state of a mammal. This method can include, for example, (a) measuring the serum concentration of one or more protein isoforms, (b) analyzing the serum concentration of the one or more protein isoforms, and (c) determining the diabetic state of the mammal. Other aspects include kits used to perform the method. Further aspects are the isolated protein isoforms themselves, and their methods of isolation.

摘要: Water content sensing and informing system for the disposable diaper composed of a water permeable inner sheet, a water absorber and a water impermeable outer sheet, comprises a water content sensing means consisting of a water impermeable sheet, and a first and second metal layers, the first metal layer being formed on one side surface of the water impermeable sheet, and the second metal layer being formed on the other side surface of the sheet and an informing means, electrically connected to the above two metal layers, for informing that the water content in the diaper exceeds a specific level in response to the change of the electric conductivity between the first metal layer and the second metal layer. The water content sensing means is disposed in any suitable section in the diaper such as in the water absorber, between the water absorber and the water impermeable outer sheet, or between the water absorber and the water permeable inner sheet and is adapted to be assembled with the diaper by means of a pressure welding or an adhesive at the same manufacturing process.
