摘要: Methods and apparatus for controlling the operation of a distributed application using message interception techniques are disclosed. The message interception software is independent of the software components making up the distributed application. The message interception software processes messages by carrying out a series of actions set out in an interceptor chain configuration policy, that policy being selected on the basis of the contents of the intercepted message. The interceptor chain configuration policy is divided into a separate enforcement configuration policy which dictates what actions should be carried out on a message and in what order, and an interceptor reference policy which indicates references to interceptors which are suitable for carrying out the actions specified in the enforcement configuration policy. In this way, the behavior of the message interception software (and thus the distributed application) can be updated while both the interception software and the distributed application are running without requiring the person updating the behavior of the message interception software to deal with esoteric references to interceptor software routines.

摘要: A strip has a left and a right side. The strip is rolled in a rolling stand. Stresses occurring in the strip at the feed and exit sides are detected by corresponding measuring sensors positioned on the left and right sides of the strip. The detected stresses are fed to a control unit for the rolling stand. The control unit determines a measurement for the transversal positioning of the strip in relation to the rolling stand using the relationship Z=ZLE*ZLA−ZRE−ZRA, where Z is the measurement. ZLE, ZLA, ZRE and ZRA are the individually detected stresses. The control unit determines a correcting variable for correcting the transversal positioning of the strip using the measurement for the transversal positioning and controls the rolling stand according to the correcting variable.

摘要: In mill stands of a continuous rolling train, a product passes through the train is rolled such that the product upon leaving the train has predetermined final characteristics. To remove one of the stands, the mill stand to be removed is completely relieved of load according to a defined temporal load relieving sequence. Locally simultaneously with the load relieving, at least one other mill stand is placed under load according to a defined temporal loading sequence. The load-relieving and loading sequence are mutually adjusted to preserve the final product characteristics. A circumferential roll velocity is controlled until the stand has been completely relieved such that a discharge velocity corresponds always to a predetermined desired discharge velocity. After the complete load-relieving, a correspondence of the circumferential roll velocity to the desired discharge velocity is maintained and the working rolls are lifted off. The mill stand is then deactivated.

摘要: Measurement accuracy during determination of the thickness of rolling stock, in particular a rolling strip or a metal plate, is remotely measured using a base measurement value for the thickness obtained by a radiation measurement system having a radiation source and a radiation detector, both carried by a holding mechanism. A reference measurement value for the thickness is measured by an ultrasonic measurement head that is likewise arranged on the holding mechanism. The reference measurement value is used to eliminate the influence of errors on the base measurement value.

摘要: A method for determining a treatment parameter on a haemofiltration device, as well as a haemofiltration device for applying the method, based on the recognition that a determination method known from haemodialysis can, with little modification, be transferred to haemofiltration. To this effect a physical-chemical characteristic of the substitution fluid and of the fluid which is removed from the haemofilter by way of an ultrafiltrate outlet pipe, is determined. Furthermore, this characteristic is acquired before, after or during a change of this characteristic in the substitution fluid, and is evaluated. As a result, the ion dialysance and thus the urea clearance of a haemofiltration device, which can also be operated as a haemodiafiltration device, can be determined.
