Abstract: A volatile material vaporizing apparatus features a heating element and heating element controls supported in separate housings to avoid exposure of the controls to heat produced by the heating element. Another embodiment features an elongate heating element supported entirely within a housing having an open end sized to fit over the bowl of an existing smoking device so that drawing air through the smoking device induces airflow into an inlet opening of the housing, along the heating element disposed therein, and onward to the smoking device. In another embodiment, a housing includes a plug portion slidable into a cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle to establish connection with electrical contacts therein. A heating chamber opposite the plug portion is in fluid communication with a heating element in the housing, and an inlet opening allows airflow into the housing for flow along the heating element into the heating chamber.

Abstract: A starter stopper for use with a high intensity discharge (HID) lighting source includes a timer and switch. The timer controls the durations of on-time and off-time periods during an energizing period. Abstract: A receptacle assembly for a twist-lock photocontrol that is mounted on a luminaire housing. The assembly includes a receptacle and a spring clamp. The receptacle has a disc portion with a hub extending from the central portion of the back side, a perimeter side wall with a castellated bottom edge that engages stops on the luminaire housing. Three fingers extend from the back side of the disc and terminate at a lip edge. The spring clamp has a substantially flat, ring-shaped body that includes a top surface, an opening, an inner edge, an outer edge, and at least one pair of spring members. The receptacle is attached to a luminaire housing using the spring clamp. The orientation of the receptacle can be adjusted and can be locked into a stationary position without tools.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a novel fabrication method and structure for reducing structural weight in radio frequency cavity filters and novel filter structure. The novel filter structure is fabricated by electroplating the required structure over a mold. The electrodeposited composite layer may be formed by several layers of metal or metal alloys with compensating thermal expansion coefficients. The first or the top layer is a high conductivity material or compound such as silver having a thickness of several times the skin-depth at the intended frequency of operation. The top layer provides the vital low loss performance and high Q-factor required for such filter structures while the subsequent compound layers provide the mechanical strength.
